Homemade Lavender Chamomile Bath Salt

One of the best homemade relaxing bath salt soaks I like to make when I need to drain the toxins from my body and relieve aches and stress from my body is my homemade lavender chamomile bath salt. It has a nice relaxing aroma as it dissolves into the water, and when you get into the bath your body, mind and spirit will completely relax.

The natural ingredients you will need to make my homemade lavender chamomile bath salt are 6 cups of Epsom salt or sea salt, 2 cups of baking soda, 10 drops of lavender oil and 10 drops of chamomile oil. If you do not have these natural ingredients on hand you should be able to find them in your local drugstore or every grocery store.

The materials you will need to make the homemade lavender chamomile bath salt are 1 large bowl, a wire whisk, measuring cups and a large container or jar with a lid. If you do not have these materials in your kitchen cabinet you should be able to get them from your local kitchen store.

The way you make my homemade lavender chamomile bath salt is by measuring out the 6 cups of Epsom salt or sea salt, 2 cups of baking soda, 10 drops of lavender oil and 10 drops of chamomile oil and placing them into your large bowl. After you will take your wire whisk and combined the ingredients together for a minute to form a powdery lavender chamomile smelling bath salt. Once you have made the homemade lavender chamomile bath salt you will place it into your container or jar and store it away in your bathroom until you are ready to use it in you bath.

The best way to use my homemade lavender chamomile bath salt is to fill your tub up with plenty of warm water. While the water is filling up your tub up you should place 2 to 3 cups of the bath salt underneath the running water so it can mix and dissolve into your bath. When your lavender chamomile bath is ready all you need to do is get into you tub and soak in it for as long as you can. The salt in the bath soak should help relieve your aches and pains while the baking soda draws out metal toxins from your body and the lavender and chamomile calm, cleanse and relax your body, mind and spirit. I think the best times to use this bath salt is when you are feeling sick and have body aches, can’t fall asleep, need some relief from stress and are really cold and chilled to the bone.
