Homemade Cucumber Cooling Facial Mask

Homemade Facial Masks

In the summertime at night one of my very own favorite homemade facial masks to use is my homemade cucumber cooling mint facial mask. It is very refreshing and helps cool down and purify my skin after a long hot summers day in the sun and humidity.

The ingredients needed to make the homemade cucumber cooling mint facial mask are 1 peeled and sliced up fresh cucumber, ½ a cup of honey, ½ a cup of finely chopped peppermint leaves, and ½ a cup of rolled oats. All of these ingredients can easily be found in a grocery store if you do not already have them on hand.

The best and easiest way to make the homemade cucumber cooling mint facial mask is by placing the 1 peeled and sliced up fresh cucumber, ½ a cup of honey, ½ a cup of finely chopped peppermint leaves, and ½ a cup of rolled oats into a food processor or blender. After you blended and puree the ingredients together until you get a light greenish colored slightly syrupy think facial mask. If you find the mask is too soupy add in more oats, and if the mask is too thick add in more honey. Once you are done making the homemade cucumber cooling facial mask pour it into a small bowl and use it right away.

The soothing cucumber in the mask will help draw out impurities, tone, firm, purify, and cleanse your skin gently and effectively while nourishing it. The cucumber will also help treat any acne and blemishes you may have and any skin irritation and redness. The honey will help moisturize and kill the bacteria on your face that cause acne breakouts and redness. The oats will help exfoliate, lightly moisturize, absorb any unwanted oils, and help remove blackheads from your skin. The peppermint helps soothe inflammation and redness and provides a cooling sensation too the skin.

The best way too apply the homemade cucumber cooling mint facial mask is by first washing your face with a facial cleanser and warm water to help remove any makeup or oil you make have on your skin. It will also help open up your pore so the mask can seep deep down into them when you apply it. Once your face is cleaned and dried you will want to take about 2 to 3 tablespoons of the facial mask and apply a nice even layer too your skin. After you will allow the mask too stay of for about 30 minutes to an hour if you can. Basically, the longer the better. Once the time is up you can rinse your face down with cool water and rinse the mask right off. After your skin should be glowing, toned, purified, soothed, and happy again.

I do hope those of you who try making the homemade cucumber cooling mast have an easy time making it, and those of you who use it have an enjoyable time wearing it. I wish you all the best of luck with getting beautiful purified happy skin.
