Home Remedies: 8 Tips to Boosting Your Memory

Colon Cleanse, Eating Vegetables

If you are worried about memory loss as you get older, have no fear. Just as ancients believed in taking care of themselves, so can we. There has never been a time when we can stimulate our brain and help boost our memory.

Years ago, I suffered from a severe car accident and ended up being in a coma for a week followed by amnesia that never came back. Granted, the amnesia was for the entire day of the accident, but after this, I worried about the rest of my memory. As a result, I began looking at every way possible to stimulate my brain and nurture my brain. Here are some wonderful things to help boost your memory.

Avoid the Alcohol.

It is a known fact that alcohol kills brain cells. The more you drink, the more brain cells you can kill. For an alert brain, stay away from alcohol altogether. Choose an alcohol free drink for a clear mind 24/7. Instead of alcohol, choice water or soda as an alternative.

Avoid Smoking.

There aren’t enough words to say how badly smoking is for you. Not only is it unhealthy in every way, but if you are wanting to boost your memory, might need to stop smoking. Smoking is as bad for your brain as it is for the rest of your body.

Exercise the brain.

This is actually a fun tip that can be done night or day. Buy the word puzzles and make your brain work. Another tip is to memorize something– I prefer Scriptures. If you prefer poems, memorize some poems. The key is you are making your brain work for a living. Don’t let it be idle!

Colon Cleanse

A colon cleanse seems like the worst tip but this is very beneficial to your body. Your brain will enjoy the results of the cleanse as much as the rest of your body. A colon cleanse is intended to flush out toxins from your body. If you are doing a colon cleanse, be prepared to stay close to home for a few days to allow your body to eradicate all the toxins from your body. This means you will be in the bathroom quite often so be prepared.

Vitamins

Vitamins are essential to healthy living. The same can be said for boosting your memory. A few vitamins to take are Vitamin B, Vitamin C, and ginkgo biloba. These vitamins can boost your memory and help you from having memory loss.

Exercise your body.

The more you exercise, the more you improve your bodies circulation. This in turn, is excellent for boosting your memory as well as keeping your entire body healthy.

Eat Vegetables.

We’ve always heard that eating vegetables was healthy for our body. More importantly, eating vegetables such as of artichokes and carrots are important to our memory because they are rich in beta carotene. The beta carotene is important because it helps enrich the memory. Also, the Lecithin in eggs is also good for memory booster.
