Create Your Own

Have you seen the awesome banners that people place on top of their blog sections on MySpace? Would you like to create your own banners to place on all of your pages, or perhaps to advertise a web page or a product? Well if this sounds like something you’re interested in learning to do, then this article is for you. Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to create your own banners with a free online service called “My Banner Maker.” I hope that you enjoy this, and that you are able to create the banners you always wanted.

Instructions:

1. Open up an internet web browser.

2. Type http://www.mybannermaker.com into the search box at the top.

3. Scroll down on the main page till you find the different sizes of banners. Chose the size of the banner that you’d like to create.
Tip: The “Extended Network Banner” is the one you should chose if you’re looking to make a banner for your MySpace page.

4. Once you have chosen a size, select the “Background” tab which can be found before the first banner, in a list of tabs.

5. Once you are on the “Background” tab, chose the colors you’d like to use on your banner or upload your own photo if you’d like.

6. Now you will need to open up the “Text” tab, and select the text you want to appear on your banner, the colors of that text, the spacing, the sizes, the font types, the rotation, and the opacity.
Tip: You will be able to see the changes on the preview of your banner on which shows on top of the navigation tabs.
Tip: You can chose to not alter some of the options to leave the defaults on your banner.

7. The next step is to chose the “Border” or “Effects” tab if you’d like to add either one of those things.
Note: The default border is in black, so if you would like to not show it, you will have to change the color of it.
Note: You will not be allowed to select multiple effects for your banner, so choose carefully.

8. Now click on the “Save” tab and select the options you’d like to save your banner with.
Note: You should select a website to point your banner to. If you do not select a link for your banner, it will link back to www.mybannermaker.com.
Note: You should select the proper way to get the code for your banner from the options given. You can save it and get the code to input it into your MySpace page, a forum post, or onto any regular web page.

9. Now you need to select “Save the banner” and copy the code given to you. This code will need to be pasted to whatever page you will want the banner at. You can also continue editing it by selecting the link below the code if you want to change anything.
