For the unenlightened: arachibutyrophobia is the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of one’s mouth. It is a serious malady and could be greatly aggravated by digesting the content of this article.
It seems quite unfair to pit peanut butter against pumpkin pie but that is exactly what the month of November does. Turkey vs. PB&J.; Its funny though, the Peanut Butter Lover’s website has no mention of this obscure holiday observance. However, Virginia, it must be National Peanut Butter Lover’s Month because American Greetings has ecards to help us all enjoy the celebration. And, where there are greeting cards there must be events and gifts to share!
As a creative date idea, you lucky Oregonians can head for the local diner dedicated to Peanut Butter. Portland is home to Peanut Butter & Ellie’s, located at 1325 NE Fremont. It is touted as “the first-ever kid’s café”. Make it a short date because you’ll be sitting on child-sized chairs at child- sized tables.
P.B. Locos “tongue-titillating café” has locations spreading slowly across the nation. Scottsdale, Arizona, Aurora Colorado, the Mall of America and Woodbridge New Jersey are all host to P.B. Locos locations. Take your favorite date and head on in for a delightful meal. You can start with the PB SAMPLER, choosing from 3 Flavors of PB Served with Celery Sticks, Carrot Chips, Apple Slices & Pretzels. Order one of their signature sandwiches and top it all off with a smooth PB Chill.
You might want to create a peanut butter lover’s feast of your own.
