Facials masks have been used for generations to help clear pores and soften skin. There are millions of different types of facial masks. Some are available at spa’s, other’s you can purchase in stores and some can be made at home! All natural facial masks use natural ingredients to leave you with a beautiful glow and a fresh face. You should use a facial mask weekly to clear your pores and get rid of built up oily and dirt. Making masks with natural ingredients is simple to do and can be very effective.

Some masks can be made with just one ingredient. Two good examples are a milk mask and an egg mask. Both of these are great for softening the skin, and removing dead layers of skin, leaving beautiful fresh skin. To apply the milk facial, just use a cotton swab, dip it into some milk and apply to your face. Do the same with the egg. You should leave these on your face for about 20 minutes before washing with warm water. These simple ingredients will not make you break out and can definitely benefit your skin.

Other Homemade Masks To Try:

Avocado Facial Mask

Ingredients: 1/2 Avocado

Instructions: Mash the avocado and apply evenly to your face. Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and a soft washcloth.

Banana, Honey & Yogurt Facial Mask

Ingredients: 1/2 Banana, 2 tablespoons Yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions: Mash the banana with a fork then mix in the honey and the yogurt. Apply the mixture to your face evenly. Leave on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with cool water and a washcloth.

Chocolate Facial Mask

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon Cocoa Powder, 1 tablespoon Heavy Cream, 1 teaspoon Cottage Cheese, 4 teaspoons Honey, 1 teaspoon Oatmeal

Instructions: Puree all of the above ingredients. Apply the mixture to freshly cleaned skin and leave for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and a soft wash cloth and pat dry.

Firming Peach Facial Mask

Ingredients: 1 Ripe Peach, 1 Egg White, 1 teaspoon Full-Fat Yogurt

Instructions: Puree all of the above ingredients in a blender. Apply the mixture to freshly cleaned skin and leave for 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.

Lemon Tomato Mask

Ingredients: 1 Over-Ripe Tomato (inside scooped and mashed), 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice, 1 teaspoon Instant Oatmeal

Instructions: Puree all of the above ingredients in a blender. Apply to a freshly cleaned face and leave on for 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.

Rosewood Exfoliating Mask

Ingredients: 2 tablespoons Sugar, 3 tablespoons Warm Water, 2 drops Essential Oil – Rosewood

Instructions: Stir together the sugar and the warm water until completely dissolved. Add the rosewood essential oil. Apply the mixture to a freshly cleaned face and massage for 5 minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.

Soothing Strawberry Scrub

Ingredients: 1/4 cup Plain Yogurt;Chilled, 3 to 4 Strawberries;Mashed

Instructions: Stir the above ingredients together. Apply to a freshly cleaned face and gently massage the strawberry mixture to exfoliate. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.

Yogurt Walnut Scrub

Ingredients: 1/4 cup Plain Yogurt;Chilled, 1/4 cup Walnuts;Ground or Pulverized

Instructions: Stir together the above ingredients. Apply to a freshly cleaned face and gently massage to exfoliate. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.
