Egg Substitutes, Foreman Grill, George Foreman, George Foreman Grill

Thick golden French toast direct from the George Foreman Grill can’t be beat for ease and convenience, not to mention its totally fat free cooking; unless of course you drizzle the toast with a little butter and syrup before serving it up for breakfast. With a few simple steps, you can create delicious French toast your family is sure to love.

You will need:

¾. Avoid over processing the eggs.

Preheat the George Foreman Grill.

Quickly dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture just long enough to coat the outside of the bread. Flip the bread and coat the other side. Do not allow the bread to soak in the egg mixture, as the toast will be soft and too moist on the inside when the outside is golden brown. A quick dip in egg mixture is all that is needed as bread absorbs moisture quickly and will create just the right amount of egg to make delicious French toast.

Place the French toast on the grill. Do not add butter or oil. Depending on the size of the grill, and the size of the toast, two or three slices fit nicely into the grill at once. Close the lid and allow the French toast to cook for several minutes. Actual cooking time depends on the thickness and texture of the bread. Simply lift the cover to check for doneness. Remove French toast from the George Foreman when it is evenly browned and no longer moist.

Place on a platter with a small dab of butter or margarine on top to melt. Cover loosely with aluminum foil while you cook additional slices of toast in the grill. Serve with heated maple syrup or you choice of toppings.
