Garnier Smoothing Milk: A Cure for the Common Frizz

Curly Hair Products

A product I would never want to live without, Garnier Smoothing Milk. This may sound like an odd product to choose to write about, or even choose as a product that I find absolutely necessary. However, it isn’t as terribly strange as you might imagine.

I have curly hair, and for those of you that have curly hair you understand that curly hair is often translated as frizz. At least for those of you who haven’t yet discovered the secret to keeping that frizz under control. For me, Garnier Smoothing Milk does the trick. Curly hair people often spend a long time trying to deal with their hair, trying to deal with the curls and figure out the best possible way to get them to look like the princess locks everyone assumes curls to be. It generally takes us well into our teen, even college years to figure out the key to looking great and loving our curls. Daily straightening with an iron can lead to fly aways, and as much as we adore our forced straight mane, at some point we’re bound to have to let those luscious locks we were born with show through. So how exactly can you achieve this feat?

Well, as many people know by know, using curly hair products really helps. There are shampoos, conditioners, and styling products designed purely to enhance your natural curls, get them under control, and make them look great. Another secret is Garnier Smoothing Milk. All those little fly aways surrounding your face or at the base of or scalp, or anywhere else can be zapped away in a flash without the weight and stickiness of a hair gel or spray.

One method of application of Garnier Smoothing Milk is to spot treat as needed. If you often wear your hair curly, especially back in a pony-tail, and hate those little frizzies around your face, you need only use a little dollop of Garnier Smoothing Milk rub it in your hands and smooth out the frizzies by pushing the hair around your face back toward the scalp or pony-tail. Without the stickiness, or appearance of gel, you get a nice hold that keeps the frizz from your face and you hair looking great all day! If you have a little slip out after a long day at the office, keep a little in your desk or on a small bottle in your purse for touch-ups. The solution also smells fantastic, so putting it in is a treat for both you and those around you! I often get comments on how great my hair smells, I just smile.

If you want to spot treat frizzing areas, just gently put Garnier Smoothing Milk onto the area. Be careful not to push curls down or flatten them. Just gently apply the smoothing milk in small amounts. Put more in as needed. In order to control the frizzing of my hair I apply the smoothing milk while my hair is still damp. After getting after the shower, towel dry your hair and give it about ten minutes to air dry. When you hair is no longer soaking put a dollop of Garnier Smoothing Milk in your hands and rub them together. Then apply the smoothing milk to your damp hair. Make sure to get all parts of your hair. Pin up the layers if you need to in order to reach the lower layers. Be sure to get it on the back and all the back layers. Apply from the scalp down to the tips, and make sure to get all those usual trouble spots. I generally apply a little more around the bangs in order to make sure they don’t frizz up as they dry or when I use a blow dryer. Also, if you blow dry, use a defuser. Never blow dry without one, doing so just exacerbates any frizzing problem.

The great thing about Garnier Smoothing Milk is that putting it on when your hair is damp also helps when you use a straightening iron and curling iron to straighten hair. Apply the smoothing milk to damp hair will eliminate a lot of the frizz or fly aways that result from straightening and blow drying. If you’re dealing with frizz or unable to figure out a nice light and invisible way to keep your curls beautiful, bouncy, and shining, try Garnier Smoothing Milk. It works for me and I wouldn’t trade this product for anything else. It’s inexpensive and gets the results I want for my hair before work, a night on the town, or just a day with the girls.
