Fun Age Appropriate Toys for 3-Month-Old Babies

I remember the day my daughter turned three months old, she began grabbing toys. This was very exciting because I thought maybe she’ll be more content now that she’s gaining a greater sense of her surroundings and getting better at her hand and eye coordination. Not only that, but I can finally begin to play with her. Read on to find out which are best for babies this age:

Bendy Ball
Try to find those hollowed out balls with all those big spaces for little fingers to grasp. These toys are perfect for a baby who is learning to become tactile because they are almost impossible not to grasp, they’re lightweight, and fun bright colors. Some brands, like the Baby Einstein Bendy Ball, come with a jingle bell toy inside so your baby can rattle it around to make some noise.

I have three different versions of this toy including the Bright Starts Flexi Ball, Rhino Toys OBoll, and Manhattan Toy Twinkle. My baby liked them all the same when she was learning to grab, hold, and shake her newfound toys.

Sophie the Giraffe
There is no better way to introduce your little one to the wonderful world of gnawing on teething toys than with the one and only Sophie the Giraffe. Sophie is very easy for a young baby to grasp on to, and there’s something about her long rubber hooves that babies just can’t seem to get enough of. This toy is probably one of the hottest toys on the market and has been around since the ’60s! Your baby does not need to be teething to enjoy Sophie either, but they will certainly begin “tasting” everything now that they can grab on to toys. This one is made of 100 percent natural rubber with edible, safe food paint.

Activity Gym
If you don’t have an activity gym yet but are considering buying one, or if you have one but it’s been away in storage for when your baby is old enough, this is the ideal age for your baby to use it! Three months is typically the age when babies start reaching and batting at toys that dangle overhead. Find an activity gym that allows you to custom hang toys and add your baby’s favorites, especially those with bright contrasting colors to stimulate his or her visual senses and also those that are easy to grab.

When my baby was three months old, we had the Bright Starts Baby’s Deluxe Play Place and my daughter really enjoyed it. I could lay her in it and she was able to entertain herself for up to five minutes by herself.

Three months is definitely a fun age for both babies and parents because you can finally start using all those toys you got from your baby shower! These are all excellent toys for your infant who is just beginning to develop his motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
