Free Concerts in Marina del Rey
Free summer concerts are offered each Thursday and Saturday, during the summer months in Marina del Rey, at Chace Park. The official address for the Marina del Rey concerts is 13650 Mindanao Way. Parking is available in nearby parking lots. Visitors may picnic at the park before the summer concerts and watch the sun set over the Marina del Rey harbor before the music begins at 7 pm. Dance Downtown
Come to downtown Los Angeles on Friday nights for an evening of dancing and entertainment between April and October. The Plaza at the Music Center hosts free Friday night dancing and dance lessons for beginners at 6:30 pm on Friday nights. Live music and a dance area provide visitors with a lively and free Friday evening in Los Angeles. The Plaza at the Music Center is located at 135 N. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles. Hollywood
An day trip or evening walk through Hollywood is a great way to enjoy some free summer activities in the Greater Los Angeles area. Take a walk down Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and see some of the famous celebrity hand and footprints, or visit the legendary Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Visit the Beach

Some beaches offer romance and privacy for couples who want to take a romantic walk along the Pacific Coast, while others, like the lively Venice Beach and Boardwalk offer street performers, muscle men, and great people watching opportunities.
Redondo Beach is a great place to take kids who like to skate, rollerblade, or bike. The pier, beach, and paved bike pathways can provide a family with a full day of summer fun.
Other beaches in the Greater Los Angeles area include Malibu, Santa Monica, Marina del rey, Manhattan Beach, and several more within a short drive from Los Angeles. All types of recreational activities can be found at the beaches, from surfing to volleyball on the beach.
Big! World! Fun!
The 2007 Big! World! Fun! Family Series takes place for 8 Saturdays during the summer at the Ford Theater in Hollywood. The Ford Theater is located at 2580 Cahuenga Boulevard East, in Hollywood. This unique, interactive program for children between 4 and 10 years old and their parents, begins at 10 am, on the designated Saturday mornings, for an hour of fun and entertainment. Children are free, and parents pay only $5 each to attend.
A few of the programs in the series for 2007 include; “Rhythms of the Philippines,” “Ankle Bells and Painted Faces: Indian Dance and Martial Arts,” and “Talking Drum Ensemble.” Seats for the programs must be reserved in advance by calling (323) 461-3673.
