I was very pleased to see a Chicken Of The Sea brand can of salmon. I usually like most products that this company makes. This product had a fantastic price. I got a large can of salmon for under two dollars. This product’s label is very colorful and different. It is salmon pink colored and has the Chicken Of The Sea logo on it, complete with mermaid. This label states that this salmon is the best salmon, that it is packed fresh in Alaska and that this product is all natural! This canned salmon is heart healthy, has omega 3 and is a good source of calcium.
This salmon is wild caught and naturally high in protein. This product has a Marine Stewardship Council seal on it. This signifies that the Chicken Of The Sea Company partnered with the Marine Stewardship Council, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the marine environment. They both now help protect the future of the marine environment. This seal also lets me know that this product comes from a fishery that has been certified to meet environmental standards. I liked knowing these facts and it did make me feel good about purchasing this product!
I love cooking with salmon and I decided to use Chicken Of The Sea Pink Salmon Traditional Style in a salmon casserole. I was very impressed when I mixed this salmon into my recipe. With most canned salmon, there are lots of small bone type fragments to crush and mix, while preparing. Not so, with Chicken Of The Sea Pink Salmon Traditional Style. This salmon had very few bone fragments in it and was the most perfect canned salmon that I have ever seen. It’s color, texture and smell was perfect. When I tasted this salmon, I was very happy with it. I can truly say this is the best salmon that I have ever tried! The salmon’s flavor was wonderful. This product is delicious! There was a recipe on the back of this product, also. I liked that and added it to my collection. I love this product. This salmon tastes fantastic!

One serving of this salmon has ninety calories in it. Only forty-five of these calories are from fat. This product has five grams of total fat, one gram of saturated fat, zero grams of trans fat, two grams of polyunsaturated fat, one and one half gram of monounsaturated fat, forty mgs of cholesterol, two hundred and seventy mgs of sodium, zero grams of total carbs, zero grams of dietary fiber, zero grams of sugars and twelve grams of protein. One serving of this salmon provided me with ten percent of my daily required calcium and two percent of my iron. This product is an excellent source of omega 3.
