Lake Worth, Treasure Hunting

Travel and shopping for abandoned treasure is fast becoming favorite hobbies. Can you think of a better idea than combining the two? Pack light leaving plenty of room for your new treasures and hit the road! When listing the following flea markets it was either list them in geographical order as an itinerary, or list them in alphabetical order. To make things simple to find regarding from which direction you are approaching, the following Central Florida flea markets are listed in alphabetical order.

Apopka – home to the 3 Star Flea Market. It is located at 2390 South Orange Blossom TR (HWY 441) every Saturday and Sunday they are open from early morning until dark. This is a medium size market w about 50-60 booths. No admission charge and plenty of parking. Snacks and restroom available onsite.

Auburndale -every Friday and Saturday the International Market World opens for treasure hunting at 8:00am, closing at 5:00pm. Located at 1052 HWY 92 West, this is a large flea market, with over 1200 dealers; this flea market will take a couple of days to explore. There is plenty of parking. Located about 40 miles from Tampa and 50 from Orlando, this will fit right in with your vacation plans. A trip to the International Market World is fun for the entire family. Snacks and restroom available onsite.

Fruitland Park – host to the North Lake Flea Market every Saturday and Sunday at HWY 441 and HWY 27 East. You will find all types of merchandise here, both old and new with over 150 dealers. Snacks and restroom available onsite.

Kissimmee – is where you will find the Osceola Flea & Farmers Market open every Friday – Sunday from 8:00am until 5:00 pm. They are located at 2801 Irlo Bronson Memorial HWY (US HWY 192). This is an indoor flea market so they are open all year. There is plenty of parking and there is no admission charge. Snacks and restrooms on site.

Kissimmee – is also home to the 192 Flea Market, located at 4301 West Vine St. you can shop with over 400 dealers every day from 9:00am until 6:00pm at this location. Snacks and restrooms onsite. There is plenty of onsite parking.

Lake City – offers you 2 flea markets:

Jeanette’s I-10 Flea Market is open Friday-Sunday at 7:00 am and you can browse until it gets dark. I don’t know much about this one, other than it is fairly new and has about 100dealers. It is located at US HWY 41 N. I-10 at exit #43. There are snacks and restrooms on site.

Lake City Flea Market is located on the Columbia County Fairgrounds just east of I-75 on US HWY 90 at State Road 247 from 7:00 am until 4:00pm every Friday and Saturday. There is plenty of parking and dealers can camp here. There are about 150 dealers and all kinds of treasures, old and new.

Lakeland- Lakeland Farmers Market is open on Saturday and Sunday. It is located at 2701 Swindell Road and is open from 7:00am till 3:00pm. A medium sized market with about 250 dealers selling old and new merchandise. There is plenty of parking, snack and restrooms on site.

Lake Worth – the Trail Drive Inn Theater Swap Meet is on Lake Worth RD. Between Military Trail & Congress AV. There is about 250 vendors and you can treasure hunt on Saturday and Sunday. There is plenty of parking, snacks and restrooms on site.

Ocala also has multiple choices:

Drive Inn Flea Market is open on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am until 4:00pm. This is a great place to find exotic birds. There are approximately 400 dealers of treasure snacks and restrooms on site with plenty of parking

The I-75 Super Flea Market is located off I-75 between Exit #’s 354 and 358 (4121 NW 44 AV). This is an exciting spot with over 1000 vendors, the best place to find fresh produce and live entertainment. This is a personal favorite when shopping for produce! Open Friday through Sunday (produce on Saturday and Sunday only. It is open on Friday from 9:00am until 2:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am until 4:00pm.

Okeechobee – Market Place Flea Market is open on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am until 4:00pm. They are located at 3600 HWY 441 South. There are about 450 dealers offer both old and new treasures. Plenty of parking, dealer camping, snacks and restrooms on site.

Orlando -Flea World is a super flea market, with about 1200 dealers. Multiple concession stands offering variety of foods and seating. Flea World is open Friday through Sunday . Entertainment, air conditioned areas and plenty of parking. This is a great place to spend a day or two.

Waldo – Waldo Farmer’s & Flea Market is a personal favorite. I spent many weekends here as a child and still can’t get enough! The Waldo Flea Market is located at 17805 NE HWY 301 and open on Saturday and Sunday. Just head out of Waldo toward Jacksonville and look for the big horse and the giant chair…you can’t miss it. With its first dealer set up in 1975 this flea market has grown to cover 50 acres. Averaging over 600 dealers this is a great way to spend the weekend. Plenty of parking, snacks and restrooms on site.
