People never lose their fascination with psychics. America has its fair share of very popular and famous psychics. Some psychics have been so successful in their work that they are producing television shows. Here is just a short list of famous American psychics.

Edgar Cayce (March 18, 1877 – January 3, 1945) was considered the greatest American psychic of all time. He is also considered the most documented, with more than 14000-recorded readings at the Association for Research and Enlightenment or A.R.E. He was called “the Sleeping Prophet” because he could diagnose an illness in his sleep and wake up with the remedy. Some of his most famous works include, earth shifts and weather patterns, Altantis, and reincarnation. Cayce’s methods involved lying down and entering into what appeared to be a trance or sleep state, usually at the request of a subject who was seeking help with health or other personal problems (subjects were not usually present). The subject’s questions would then be given to Cayce, and Cayce would proceed with a reading. At first these readings dealt primarily with the physical health of the individual (physical readings); later readings on past lives, business advice, dream interpretation, and mental or spiritual health were also given.

Jane Roberts (May 8, 1929 – Sept 5, 1984). Jane Roberts was a great American psychic who channeled a spirit named “Seth.” She also channeled Rembrandt and Paul Cezanne. She wrote numerous books of poetry, fiction and non-fiction which were not attributed to Seth. These included Adventures in Consciousness, Psychic Politics, The God of Jane, The Education of Oversoul Seven, The Further Education of Oversoul Seven, and Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time, among others. Jane Roberts channeled Seth, who describes himself as “an intelligence residing outside time and space,” from 1963 until Jane’s death in 1984. Jane was a talented writer and gifted mystic in her own right. With the help of Jane’s husband, Robert Butts, Seth and Jane produced a series of books that open new dimensions of creativity to their readers.
