Fall Weekend Getaways in New Hampshire

Mount Washington

The state of New Hampshire has numerous hotels, motels, restaurants and activities at all times of the year. However, the White Mountains in the fall season are inundated with a bevy of colors reflecting all those of the rainbow. In order to fully appreciate the mountains throughout the state and their stunning display, it is advisable to stay overnight. Three popular hotels are The Inns and Spa at Mill Falls, The Indian Head Resort and The Mount Washington Hotel.

The Inns and Spa at Mills Falls

The Inns and Spa at Mills Falls has four hotels to choose from within walking distance of one another. All have spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee and are situated in the heart of Meredith, New Hampshire. The original hotel is The Inn at Mill Falls. The other three hotels are Bay Point, Chase House and Church Landing.

In and around the four hotels are eight restaurants at which to dine. From lobster and steamers at the Town Docks restaurant to the Waterfall Café overlooking a 40 foot waterfall, you are sure to find a scrumptious meal.

The hotels offer kayak rentals and sailboat lessons in summer months. A must-see activity is a ride on Lake Winnipesaukee on the beautiful Mount Washington. Tickets may be purchased at nearby Center Harbor or Laconia. As the lake freezes in the winter months, numerous fishing huts are built for the annual Fishing Derby. Visitors will also want to shop at the many shops at both Mill Falls and Meredith Center. For further information visit http://millfalls.com
