Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Tortillas are made with no flour by the Food for Life Company that makes Ezekiel bread, Ezekiel cereal and other products. It’s easy to “eat clean” by substituting white flour products with Ezekiel products.
I’ve purchased the Ezekiel 4:9 New Mexico Style tortillas from Whole Foods Market, but have also seen them at Sweetbay Grocery Store. They come in two different sizes: a smaller tortilla and larger one. I stopped buying the larger ones since I end up cutting them in half anyway.
For my review, I chose the 12 count package with small tortillas that contain 28 grams. In my opinion, it’s the better size for most people. They are more filling than white flour tortillas.
In terms of taste, I love the sprouted grain tortillas. I always heat them up on the stove in a non-stick pan with a dash of olive oil. It makes them a little toastier and tasty. I also always toast the Ezekiel bread. The sprouted grain tortillas have texture. They taste a little nutty and can be used in so many ways.
Unlike many “diet foods” that contain tons of sugar or artificial flavors and colors, the Ezekiel products are all natural. They are often recommended by trainers and nutritionists working with clients who want to lose weight. If you are into “carb timing” simply eat your Ezekiel foods for breakfast and lunch. The fiber can help you if you have a big appetite and are tempted to eat too much.

Recipes for Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Tortillas
I like to make tuna or turkey wraps using the Ezekiel tortillas. I heat the tortilla up in a non-stick pan with a little olive oil and then flip so they are warm on both sides. I then add cheese, tuna chicken salad or turkey or other meat, lettuce, tomato, green peppers, avocado or other vegetables as desired as well as key lime mustard, Chipolte mustard or .
I also enjoy egg wraps using the sprouted grain tortillas. I simply heat up the tortillas, put aside and then scrambled eggs. Sometimes I add diced peppers and onions that have been lightly cooked and salsa as well as gluten-free turkey sausage.
Another recipe idea is to use them to make burritos or tacos. They are especially good with chicken tacos.
My son likes my Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Tortillas mini pizzas. I simply lay one out, top with pizza sauce, oregano, grated mozzarella cheese and other toppings and bake in the oven until the cheese melts. You can experiment with different topics and methods of cooking the Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Tortillas.
For taste and nutrition, I give the Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Tortillas 4.8 out of 5 stars. They are truly a dieter’s miracle!
