Education in Poor Countries

Educational Programs

Live to be poor or move to become rich

Today’s world is one in which different qualifications have to be met in order to have a slightest chance of success. One factor that plays a big role in the future success of any student in the world is education. Knowing the importance of education you might ask yourself how important education really is and how it might affect student’s lives.

Why do students consider moving to another country when they could stay home?

• When you take a closer look at poor countries, you will see that the educational system provided is not adequate and does not give students an opportunity to achieve what they really want. Poor countries lack an education or their education does not bring them much when it comes to providing job opportunities. Therefore, most students who live in poor countries would rather study abroad because the chances are much greater, education is more valued and more doors are open to new and wanted careers.

• Knowing that education is crucial, students worldwide should be given the best education possible. Poor countries face difficulties because of the scarcity of resources or lack of governmental budget. Because of the budget constraints poor countries face, students have difficulties with their studies as well as with their personal lives. There is no budget and so no investments in education can take place which means that students lose their incentives to stay in their country and try their best to get a possibility to move to a more developed country such as the United States.

What could the local government do to improve education and stop students from moving abroad?

• The local government should put more emphasis on education and try to get as many investments as possible to improve the standards of educational programs such as different master programs.

• With investments, different aspects that help improve education such as new facilities and equipments can improve the standards of education and the learning process of its students.

• The government should provide different opportunities to the young generation because they are vital to the existence of its State. Because of this, government should do its best to work with different companies and industries to create job opportunities for graduates as well as for many other citizens.

• The government should provide its citizens every possibility of experiencing a normal life full of opportunities and a stable living environment. Without fulfilling those conditions, citizens and especially young people will move abroad because those conditions are fulfilled elsewhere.

At the end it comes to a point were students ask themselves whether to stay locally and try to do their best and find a job, which might mean that they live to be poor or they decide to move abroad and take risks to get closer to opportunities they couldn’t get back home, which would mean to live and enjoy the beauty of opportunities and open doors. It is all in the hands of the government and what it decides to do for the students.
