Houston has a lot to offer in the way of life music venues. It all depends on your personal taste and what type of entertainment you’re looking for. I have chosen a few of my personal favorites below.
Ovations Night Club is a true performance venue! Ovations offers an intimate setting for live music with a wonderful sound. They pride themselves on drawing the best local and national talent. Come and enjoy a music filled evening at Ovations – Houston’s Live Music Venue. Ovations is only open for performance and can be booked for recording sessions or private parties. Sidecar Pub, located at 11202 Huffmeister in Houston, has received many awards of distinction! This venue has been voted Houston’s Best Live Music Venue – Houston Press 2005, CitySearch Winner Best of 10 and Nominated Best Pub 2001!

A fun European pub showcasing N.W. Houston’s Best Live Original Music! Sidecar offers over 140 import and domestic beers, cappucino, espresso, and frozen drinks as well as premium single malt scotches and cigars. A private meeting area is also available. And let us not forget, Sidecar features the best local, regional, & national touring bands. The goals of the SideCar Pub are both that of providing a Fun European Pub Atmosphere to all their clients and to offer Northwest Houston a showcase club that features many of the hottest original bands (local, regional, and national touring acts). They feature over 140+ Import & Domestic Beers and also have one of the BEST wells in Houston. Their prices are generally lower than any downtown club and their beer (especially the domestics) are actually “ice” cold! They have several tobacco treats to choose from in our humidor. When you come to the club, the staff makes sure that you look around and see some of the many collectibles from Europe. In fact, the chair you’re probably sitting on is over 100+ years old and came from one of the many churches in Belgium.

Those in the know have discovered this rare treasure trove that allows guests to enjoy their passions for exquisite arts and antiques as well as fine dining. The only local restaurant to offer one-stop shopping by housing a complete arts and antiques emporium on site is, indeed, a sight itself to behold. The Brownstone’s New Orleans-style courtyard entry leads diners into an opulent wonderland of unique antiques and art from around the world. And most everything in the restaurant is for sale, even the fine china, crystal and silver on the set dining tables. Several rooms in the two-story structure also feature rare works of art, collectibles, chandeliers and statuary. Small groups can gather in the intimate wine room or a semi-private dining room distinguished by archways and an exotic tented ceiling. Larger functions can be held in the elegantly appointed Crystal Room, a mélange of sparkling chandeliers overlooking the restaurant’s pool. The pool is a lush, tropical setting for terrace dining and cocktail receptions. The Gallery/Library offers a homelike environment with separate living and dining areas-perfect for entertaining business associates. A huge space upstairs is ideal for wedding and other large events. Presented against this elegant backdrop are artfully designed dishes featuring Continental cuisine with a nod toward classical French cooking. The Brownstone’s signature gourmet dishes, such as its chilled avocado soup, house-smoked salmon and individual Beef Wellington, are prepared to perfection and accompanied by an award-winning wine list. To top off the dining experience, a harpist offers classical mood music.
