Throughout the month of April there are many Earth Day Events to choose from across the beautiful Bay Area. What better way to spend a gorgeous Spring day then celebrating the Earth, and maybe finding a way to make it a better place for all of us for years to come.

Oakland, California Earth Day at the Zoo:

Take your family to the Oakland Zoo on April 17th. More than fifty Earth Stations and demonstrations offering lots of hands-on fun and activities. Habitat for Humanity East Bay Earth Day:

Give back buy celebrating and volunteering with The Earth Day Build-A-Thon with Habit for Humanity celebration for green building. This is the biggest fund raising event and the biggest building event of the year. The Build-A-Thon is an “accelerated build”. In only four days, 10 homes will be built; whereas, it would normally take several months. Participants raise pledges (like in a walk-a-thon) to help raise the funds needed to purchase building materials. Participants do not need any construction experience, although they must be 16 or older and be physically fit as it is physical and fast paced work. This event starts on Saturday April 17 and is through Tuesday April 20 from 7am-5pm each day. Get some exercise, breathe some fresh air and help build affordable homes!
