E.L.F. Liquid Eyeliner Review

Cruelty Free, Liquid Eyeliner, Professional Makeup

Eyeslipsface.com has a created a name for itself by providing women and makeup artists with very affordable professional makeup. This brand is most known for it’s one dollar products while showing their love for animals by being cruelty-free. I didn’t discover e.l.f. until about a year ago by word of mouth on Youtube.com. I was skeptical of the quality but due to so many good reviews I decided to give this brand a try and I’ve been hooked ever since my first purchase. I’ve tried just the majority of their products but they’re always coming up with new items and improving on the old. One item that I recently tried was their liquid eyeliner, which is what this review is on.

I’ll start off with the pros of e.l.f.’s liquid eyeliner. A definite pro for me are two things, price and being easy on my conscious, both of which e.l.f.’s liquid eyeliners are. I got my liquid eyeliners for a dollar each, something that’s hard to find even when the economy isn’t in the dumps. This liquid eyeliner is absolutely cruelty-free because e.l.f. cosmetics make it a point to not test any of their products on animals. I also love the fact that e.l.f. offers their liquid eyeliner in more colors than the standard black and brown, there’s at least five other vibrant colors to choose from. I also like the slender packaging, the handle is narrow and fits between my fingers perfectly, making it easy to grip. I like the stiff felt tip brush because it makes applying eyeliner almost effortless, a great liquid eyeliner for beginners. The really stiff brush makes it easy to control where the eyeliner goes thereby reducing the mess.

No product is without faults and e.l.f.’s liquid eyeliner is no exception. My biggest annoyance with this e.l.f.’s liquid eyeliner is that like with many of their products it can be hard to find in stores and the best way to find this product is to order off of their website. Of course, ordering online comes with a hefty shipping price. The other cons to this product are that it doesn’t go on evenly and I had to apply multiple coats to fill in some of the gaps and light spots, it’s flaky and not as pigmented as some of the more expensive liquid eyeliners.

Would I recommend this product? Most likely not, unless you want to go through the hassle of applying multiple coats and dealing with the flakiness. But if you’re a beginner with liquid eyeliner I would recommend getting a tube just to practice your application techniques because the price is so cheap. It’s not a horrible eyeliner but it’s not the best and I guess for only a dollar it’s really not that bad. I still wouldn’t recommend it to the more experienced makeup wearer though.
