I’m a late 80’s child, early 90’s. I miss everything from my early years in life, the toys, the shoes, the clothes, and basically just the way of life. My only worry 15 years ago was what I was having for lunch, and what was on TV.
I remember popples, cabbage patch kids and the fight my mom had with another shopper whom tried snatching the last bath time fun cabbage patch doll from her, I remember the color changing winter gloves, the heat color changing t-shirts, and trying to dance to all of the steps from Michael Jackson’s Thriller.
I also remember the TV shows available to me at this early age. The cartoons, the drama, the comedy. I remember it all…sadly though many of these shows are no longer being aired on TV, and finding them on DVD is impossible, seeing how many were never made for DVD…as of now anyway.
However while browsing the good ol’ word wide web and doing a search for Alf, I came across the entire box set. Not only did I come across Alf the entire series on DVD, but I was running into TV programs that I remember watching as a kid, TV programs I have not seen in years, such as Punky Brewster, The Wonder Years, Blossom, and Who’s the Boss!
I got excited, because this site (http://www.dvdavenue.tv/index.php) was not just selling episodes, they were selling them all, each and every season all packed up into 11-20 DVDs, all episodes, no commercials! How could I resist.
I had a bunch of choices, from The Three Stooges to the original Little Rascals.
Prices were also decent, but not cheap. So choosing a title was honestly a difficult process. I went with Wonder Years which included all 115 episodes for $73.99, and Blossom seasons 1-5 for $68.99.
The website said that the DVDs would come in box sets just like shown on the site. I was a wee bit nervous about ordering, because I was not sure if the site was legitimate or not. I worried that I would get a bunch of crappy DVD’s ripped off of television in poor quality.
The sets came about a week later. They were in perfect condition (with the exception of one case) in professional box sets (not like them crappy cheap, printed ones you may have seen before) with art on each CD.
One box set had a very minor crack in it, and the site allowed me to send it back for a new one. This process was annoying, but the problem was taken care of, so it was all good. What’s best about the site is that you can contact them by phone if you have any questions. 1-877-7TVSHOW.
I popped in the Wonder Year’s first. The quality was excellent, and each show was in order. The start up screen allowed you to choose which episode you wanted to watch if you did not want to watch them back to back in order.
Overall I have been satisfied with both of my purchases, and the shows brought me back to a time. It was a fun trip down memory lane.

Odds are that if you have an older TV show in mind, this site will have it. It’s definitely worth a look if anything at all.
