Dora’s Fiesta Kitchen Toy Review

Play Food, Play Set

Bright vibrant colors, that’s Dora’s Fiesta Kitchen. The simple design and the easy to use features are what makes my four year old happy. The kitchen is her favorite toy to play with these days and I don’t blame her. The sounds aren’t too noisy and obnoxious. There are only two buttons to push that make the sounds go off and so far, they haven’t magically gone off in the middle of the night!

The assembly was a bit time consuming but it was easy to do. When assembling the kitchen set, there were a lot of tiny screws so just as a heads up, assemble the kitchen in a room by yourself with no kids around to steal or to eat the screws. It comes with a handful of play kitchen food. I bought additional food for the kitchen set but now I’m kicking myself because I really didn’t need to. I’ve come to realize that what came with the kitchen set was plenty. The more play food and accessories she has, the more of a mess she makes.

The only thing that I don’t care for with this kitchen play set is that the sink comes out. My child just pulls the thing right out. Perhaps it’s the assemblers fault…or just an oversight in design. It’s not that big of a problem but an adjustment they may want to consider. The kitchen comes with a refrigerator and an oven below the stove, sink and grill. It’s a basically solid piece so that when she gets curious and feels like deconstructing it, she can’t, except for the sink.

It’s the perfect size for her too. She can play with it easily and will for awhile. It’s a basically solid piece so that when she gets curious and feels like deconstructing it, she can’t, except for the sink. Before purchasing Dora’s Fiesta Kitchen, I needed to consider the space it would take up in her bedroom. Her room is kind of small so I needed to make sure that it wouldn’t clutter it too much. The kitchen is on the narrow side as far as play kitchen sets go.

The price is just right. For just under a hundred dollars you get a well constructed kitchen play set. It’s character based, includes food and accessories and has simple sounds that any young child will enjoy!
