Top 10 Dora the Explorer Must-Have Products

Girls Room

Dora the Explorer has become the icon of toddlers in recent years. Being a mother of two toddlers, I am always on the look out for the next big Dora product. This top 10 list consists of the best Dora products on the market right now.

1. Dora Bike

This bike is the best thing I could have ever bought for my three year old. We bought it for Christmas and she loves it! She had always been asking for a bike and when this one hit the market it was all she talked about. This bike runs for about $40.00. The bike is 12 inches high so it is perfect for a toddler’s first bike. The bike is red with Dora stickers and comes with a backpack which fits on the handlebars, training wheels, and the map.

2. Dora Helmet Set

Since the bike is on here, the matching helmet set made the list. This helmet set, which is red in color, is specially designed for toddlers. It comes with matching kneepads and elbow pads which fit nicely on a toddler and are adjustable. The helmet has an adjustable chin strap and a harness extension to secure the helmet firmly by positioning the extension at the back of the child’s head, just below the helmet. This helmet retails for $20.00.

3. Dora Talking Dollhouse Gift Set

The Dora talking dollhouse gift set retails for $50.00. It is one of the must-haves for toddler girls. It comes with the talking dollhouse, clubhouse, pool deck, a bedroom furniture bundle, and a tree house set. 4. Magical Friends Singing Dora Doll

This is by far one of the best toys I could have bought for my 20 month old daughter. This toy retails for $15. Dora comes with four friends: a star, a butterfly, a blue parrot, and an orange frog. Each of Dora’s friends comes with its own moves when Dora holds them in her hand. Dora encourages the child to move like her friends and has the child go and find her friends by matching the description she gives. Dora can say over thirty phrases and sings the “Happy Song”.

5. Dora Motion Lamp

After searching for a light for my girls’ room, I came across this one by accident. It retails for $12.88. The light has pictures of Dora and Boots, along with butterflies and stars, on it. When it is plugged in, the light projects the shadows of Dora and Boots onto the wall and ceiling. The light is a subtle pink and is not very bright at all. It is perfect for helping your toddler fall a sleep as it rotates along the wall and ceiling.

6. Dora Boom Box

This boom box is adorable. Not only does it play CDs, cassette tapes, and the radio, but it also features Dora’s voice by pushing a button. My older daughter loves it because she can go in her room and listen to her music and dance. It runs on either eight C batteries (not included) or by an AC power adapter (included). This boom box retails for about $30.

7. Dora Fleece Throw

This adorable blanket is one of my favorites. It is soft and very warm. It has a picture of Dora and few words in both Spanish and English. This blanket is much bigger than a typical baby blanket and is a perfect fit for any toddler bed. It retails for $18.98.

8. Dora Memory Game

The Dora memory game puts this favorite character into a traditional game. This game retails for about $5 and is worth every cent. This product features Dora and all of her friends on the memory cards. It is a game which toddlers will not get tired of playing. It is perfect for toddlers who are learning how to pair up matches. Since my three year old has been playing this game, her skills improve every day.

9. Dora T.V.

No Dora fan’s room is complete without this adorable Dora T.V. This T.V. retails for $82.49. It is a small T.V. at 13 inches, but provides all the Dora fun. This T.V. comes with a full functioning remote control with 22 keys. The Dora T.V. is customized with a Dora the Explorer On-Screen Display. This T.V. will allow your toddler to enjoy their favorite shows alongside their favorite friend.

I had trouble getting my girls to sit in the bathtub long enough for a bath until my three year old received a Dora bathtub toy set. There are different sets available: Dora and Boots, Dora and twin babies, and squirt sets. These sets retail between $8 and $10. These bath sets are sure to make your toddler’s bath time more enjoyable.
