One piece of information leads to another and to another and before you know it, you’ve dissected the allure of what makes these performers so mysterious. Whenever a new movie pops up, I always do a background check on plot, storyline, actors and actresses. This time, I saw Déjà Vu first and asked questions later. What’s the scoop on the actress who played one of the main characters, Claire Kuchever?

The early development of Paula Patton brings us to Los Angeles where she was raised by her mother (a teacher) and father (a lawyer). The allure and appeal of Hollywood entertainment surrounded her during her formative years and upon graduating from Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, located in Los Angeles, she went to pursue her interests in film.

The advertisements for Déjà Vu seem to portray Paula Patton as a newbie to the entertainment world, but she actually holds a few acting, as well as producing credits under her belt. The 30-year-old actress started out as a 1997 graduate of the University of Southern California, where she majored in critical film studies. Following graduation, she became an assistant to well-known comedian, Howie Mandel. As she worked on the set of Mandel’s talk show, she took advantage of the chance to mingle with some of his famous guests (in between retrieving cups of coffee).

Patton walked away from life as an assistant and began producing after landing an entry-level job with the Discovery Health channel. In 2000, she was working on “Medical Diaries.” In a couple of years, she was producing segments. In two years, she was producing segments.
