I absolutely love, love, love Our Own Candle Company. This candle making company by far has surpassed my love for Yankee candles. They make candles that fill the room with a long lasting adoring fragrance…but best of all, their candles only cost a mere $6.00 for a 100 hour burning time Mason Candle.
I love the smell of flowers. However I never really burn floral candles often. Most candles I burn are candles that smell like food, or fruit, when I saw this gorgeous yellow colored candle in my local Cotton Caper though, I had to at least give it a sniff. I assumed it wouldn’t disappoint, because most of the Our Own Candle Company candles smelled like heaven; at least the ones I had tried in the past did.
Anyhow, Daffodil comes in a large 100 hour burning time mason jar. To me the mason jar is another spiffy word for saying recycled beer mug. That’s what it looks like, a recycled beer mug. I find that these cute mug shaped jars can be used as unique flower starter pots.
During my sniff test in the store, I fell in love with Daffodil. It smelled like a very strong scented flower. A gorgeous memory of summer time jarred up and being sold as a candle. I could not wait to give the candle a try.
Scent When Burning:
Daffodil fills the room with a very strong and adoring daffodil scent. I usually burn candles in my office, and in less that 15 minutes the entire room is filled with the scent. Daffodil did just that.
Daffodil is one of those candles that when burned, gets complimented by nearly everyone who walks through our office door. It’s truly captured the essence of the actual flower, and I personally love it.
Daffodil is one of those scents that I enjoy burning in the winter time; for when I am missing summer time. Daffodil brings that summer garden right to your home, even when you can’t grow one yet.
Fragrance Power:
Our Own Candle Company packs powerful fragrant punches in their mason jars. Even after the candle is extinguished, the Daffodil fragrance will still linger through the air for hours. If you leave the doors shut, the scent will last into the next day, which is pretty amazing for any candle.
Burn Time:
Our Own Candle Company promises 100 hours worth of burning time on their mason sized jars. I get about 120 hours though from each candle. More than expected always satisfies the consumer!
