Crest Citrus Splash – Toothpaste Review

Crest, Crest White Strips, Dental Products, Teeth Brushing

Crest has been a leading manufacturer in dental products for years. Beginning with a high quality toothpaste, Crest now offers dental rinses, mouthwash and whitening strips. I recently purchased Crest Citrus Splash for my family to use as their daily toothpaste. Read this product review to find out all you need to know about this new Crest product.

I paid $2.99 for a traditional sized tube of Crest Citrus Splash. With toothpaste prices ranging for $1.99 to over four dollars, I found this to be a very reasonable price for a toothpaste made by a trusted and recognized manufacturer like Crest. The packaging had the traditional Crest blue and white colors as well as some splashes of orange to alert the consumer as to the citrus flavor this toothpaste has. I found the packaging to be quite inviting and definitely attractive to someone looking to purchase a new brand of toothpaste.

When looking for an effective toothpaste that one will become loyal to, there are several factors to consider. It must have a pleasant consistency. Many toothpastes have a somewhat gritty feel to them as they are infused with products to eliminate tarter and plaque buildup. It must have a satisfactory taste otherwise it is a real chore to brush your teeth and difficult to get the youngest members of the family to follow through with thorough and regular teeth brushing. Toothpaste must also get the job done and leave your mouth feeling fresh and clean and remove all traces of plaque and tarter to prevent future dental problems.

Crest Citrus Splash has a very smooth consistency which I found to be a positive. The toothpaste is thick which allows only a pea sized amount to effectively brush away buildup and bacteria. Crest Citrus Splash does leave the mouth feeling fresh and clean after brushing. The taste of Crest Citrus Splash, however, was not to my liking.

Crest Citrus Splash is entirely too fruity for my taste. The taste of orange and a bit of lemon was not to my liking at all. My children, however, adore the taste of this toothpaste which makes getting them to brush their teeth for a long enough period of time rather easy. There is no more repetitive reminding to brush their teeth and brush long enough to effectively clean their teeth. For this reason alone, I highly recommend Crest Citrus Splash.

Although I personally do not care for the flavor of Crest Citrus Splash, the fact that my children like it so much makes me a big fan. I will immediately replace the tube once this first one is gone. If you enjoy the flavor of citrus toothpaste, you will want to pick up a tube for the entire family. If you prefer the taste of a more traditional and minty toothpaste but have children in the house, purchase a tube of Crest Citrus Splash for them and go back to your regular toothpaste. The ease in which it is to get the children in the bathroom and brushing their teeth properly more than makes up for the expense of buying two tubes of toothpaste.
