Attaching the Button:

Step 1 – Fold the loop down and center it in the top portion of the towel. The top portion begins where the rows were connected together.

Step 2 – Mark the location for the button.

Step 3 – Sew the button to the top portion of the towel with matching yarn. Finish off. Weave the end of the yarn back and forth through the crocheting.

Note: The absorbent quality of the cotton yarn makes it the best choice for crocheting this kitchen towel. Other yarns will work but they will not absorb moisture as well.

Tip: Chain the alternating up and down pattern to a straight double crochet stitch to create a different look. Alternate the top portion with one row of double crochet stitches, then one row of single crochet.
