Coffee Hot Spots in Colorado Springs

Free Wifi, Pikes Peak

These shops are all located downtown so you can make a quick pit stop in between shopping and enjoy a hot cup of Joe. You may just find your newest and most favorite coffee shop in town. Be advised Starbucks fans, I didn’t go there.

Let’s start with my highest rating 4.75 out of 5 stars!

Pikes Perk

14 S Tejon

719-635-1600

Monday – Thursday 7:00 am to 10:00 pm

Friday – Saturday 7:00 am to 11:00 pm

Sunday 7:00 am to 9:00 pm

This coffee shop has so much to offer. Their prices are very competitive to Starbucks and their coffee is just as good or better. You get two views of the mountains when you walk inside one from the mural painted on the wall and the second from the breathtaking view of Pike’s Peak from the patio upstairs.

This place has lots of room to meet your friends or bring a small group there for the afternoon. The free wifi with a drink purchase makes this a desirable place for individuals to go alone to get some internet work done.

Entertainment ranges from live music to board games. The beans are roasted locally and make a pretty good cup of coffee.

This shop was rated a 4.25 and I found the idea ingenious! Let me know what you think.

The Coffee Exchange:

526 S Tejon St
719- 635-0277

Monday – Thursday 6:30 am to 5:30 pm

Friday 6:30 am to 8:00 pm

Saturday 7:30 am to 1:00 pm

This shop is a perfect party destination. This is a coffee and wine bar plus a full service bar. They have great service, good coffee (the beans are roasted each week), pretty tasty sandwiches, salads, my favorite the breakfast burritos and for the sweet tooth they have pastries. There is a great looking conference table for big groups and they also rent the place out for private parties. For entertainment they also have wifi and live music. The only thing I would suggest is that they extend their hours because of the service they provide.

This next place was a 4.00 out of 5.00. If you try this place let me know what you think. The coffee is out of this world!

Raven’s Nest

330 N Institute St

719-632-3433

Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

The Raven’s Nest prides themselves for serving BB Bean’s. These are the freshest around. They destroy the bean’s after two weeks if not used. While the previous coffee shop had a new modern feel this place is comfortable and cozy. Included in the ambiance is local artwork on the walls.

For entertainment they provide free wifi, open mic night, and live music. Great place to go hang out with friends. Whether in the store or on the outdoor seating area you will enjoy this shop and marvel at the taste of coffee. This place was best in my book for taste. They even offer Vegan cookies!

This last place was not my favorite but still rated a 3.75 on a scale of 5.00.

Montague’s Coffee House
1019 S Tejon St
719- 520-0672‎

Monday -Thursday 7:00 am to 11:00 pm

Friday – Saturday 7:00 am to 12:00 midnight

Sunday 9:00 am to 11:00 pm

Their specialty is the food! It is fantastic I loved the sandwiches! The coffee is hit or miss. They serve over 50 different teas which goes along with the ambiance they are trying to sell. When you walk in you have big comfy couches that make you feel like you are in an antique store or at your great grandmothers for afternoon tea.

For entertainment there are interesting artwork on the walls. But no wifi. If the antique feel gives you uneasy feeling they also have outdoor seating. My suggestion is that they get free wifi which is a big pull for many coffee goers.
