Clinique All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream

Clinique, Get Rid of Dark Circles

I decided to buy an eye cream by Clinique called All About Eyes Rich because I’d ran out my tube of M.D. Skincare eye cream. Even though I loved the M.D. Skincare’s eye cream for my dark under eye circles and bags, it didn’t really help with my under eye lines and wrinkles, so I chose the Clinique All About Eyes Rich after seeing it in Sephora.

The celery green box that Clinique All About Eyes Rich comes in claimed that the eye cream would diminish the look of circles, shadows, puffs, and lines. The pink and silver jar inside contains 0.5 oz for $28 dollars. When I opened up the lid I found that the Clinique eye cream was beige and smelled like vanilla eclairs when I put it up to my nose, but it smells unscented from a distance.

When I applied All About Eyes Rich to the skin under my eyes it felt very creamy and thick so Clinique wasn’t lying when it named it rich, it’s definitely the richest eye cream I’ve ever used. The Clinique eye cream is moisturizing and soothing, and because it’s so thick it’s easy to rub in so I didn’t snag or wrinkle my skin in the process.

I used Clinique All About Eyes almost every day and night for about a month and I liked how calming it was to the thin skin under my eyes. It also seemed to build up the skin there so that it looked healthy and plump like when I was younger, instead of hollowed out.

But the best thing about this Clinique eye cream was that it got rid of one persistent wrinkle that I’d gotten from sleeping on a cotton pillowcase. A few other wrinkles that were slightly deeper from smiling also seemed to fill in about 35-45% and they also became shorter in length, which I thought was great.

But there are a few things I hate about Clinique All About Eyes Rich. Because it’s so rich it doesn’t fully absorb and the skin under my eyes always look shiny and greasy after using it. It also doesn’t deflate bags that easily and my eyes usually stay puffy for a few hours after waking up and applying it. So I guess it really doesn’t deflate bags at all, because the swelling under my eyes usually goes down on it’s own within a couple of hours anyway.

After using it for about 2 weeks or so, I noticed that All About Eyes Rich had lightened the plum circles (that had returned after I stopped using M.D. Skincare) by 2 shades, so they looked brown, but after that the circles didn’t get any lighter. In fact this Clinique eye cream actually made my dark circles look worse because it made my circles look so shiny that it only drew more attention to them. I used it for a week during the day but I got tired of blotting the oil away before I put on makeup, so now I only use All About Eyes Rich at night or on days when I’m not leaving the house.

Overall I think Clinique All About Eyes Rich is a good product to nurture and replenish moisture back to the skin underneath the eyes. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a rich, night eye cream and who wants their wrinkles to decrease in length and depth. But it’s a horrible product if you have dark under eye circles and heavy bags, so skip it if that’s your issue and use M.D. Skincare’s Lift and Lighten Eye Cream instead. 2.5 out of 5 stars.
