When Bic came out with their long barreled multi-purpose lighters, I thought they were the next best thing to sliced bread. Before these lighters came on the market place, our only choices were matches or small cigarette lighters.
I refer to these as stick lighters, and there are so many ways to use these around the home, and when camping. When it was time to buy some new lighters, my husband picked up a package of a name brand at Bed Bath & Beyond. In the package was one lighter, and it retailed for around $6.00. Then I noticed this package of twin Click N Flame Multi purpose lighters, which looked nearly identical, except the set of two lighters cost only $3.49! We bought two for less than the price of one!
The Click N Flame lighters come in the colors red and white, and measure about eleven inches long. The pistil, or tip of the lighter is 4 /2 inches long. There is a handle with a trigger style ignition, but there is a great child resistant feature built in. In order to get a flame, you also need to push a safety button on the top of the unit, then pull the trigger, and you will get your flame.
Every time you want to use this lighter, you need to go through the same steps of pushing down the safety button, then pull in the ignition trigger.
If the flame is too long, there is even a flame adjustment for you! Move lever toward the plus sign and you will have a higher flame, and if you move it toward the minus sign, you’ll get a lower flame.
Click N Flame Multi-purpose Lighters are perfect for lighting a barbecue, using in an RV to light the burners or oven, candles, fireplaces, outdoor bon fires, etc. The long tipped barrel makes it easy to reach into tight spots! The lighter is slim enough that this fits right into the silverware drawer in our motor home!
If you run out of butane, you can use a standard cigarette lighter butane refill. It loads from the handle end, and there is even a handy fuel window to let you know when you are running low on butane.
What a value the Click N Flame Multi-purpose Lighters are! They have all the features of the more expensive lighters we have purchased in the past, and even though they are made in China, they comply with CPSC Safety Standards for Multi-purpose lighters. They are distributed by Easton Enterprises, Inc.
As with all butane products, these can be hazardous if not used according to the directions, and they should be kept out of the reach of children. Just because they are child resistant does not mean they are child proof.
I will no longer be paying the high price for name brand lighters, not when the Click N Flame is available for such a reasonable value price.
