Manhattan offers so many wonderful places to host a birthday party for a child. Your child is sure to have a fun-filled and memorable birthday party at any of the venues mentioned in this article.
The following birthday party venues are in a variety of prices. They are not listed in any particular order.
1. Rockefeller Center

If your child likes to ice skate and has friends and family who like to skate too, this is the perfect venue for their birthday party. The website recommends an instructor for children under 10 years old or for children ice-skating without any adults. A professional skating instructor is available at a special rate of $65 per hour.
The Rink at Rockefeller Center is available for birthday parties for children between the ages of 5 and 17. There is a minimum of 15 children for each birthday party. Birthday parties begin and end with an ice skating session. It is advisable to have an alternate date in mind in the event of poor weather conditions. You are not allowed to bring any food or beverage to the party. The Patina Restaurant Group, of Rockefeller Center, will supply your chosen food and beverage.
They offer two birthday packages. Package A is $21 a person. Some of what you will receive with this package includes: birthday cake and beverage, along with admission to the ice rink and skate rental. Package B is $33 a person. Some of what you will get with this package includes: various sandwiches, potato chips, birthday cake and beverages along with admission to the ice rink and skate rental. The choices of birthday cake and sandwiches are numerous and are listed on the website.
The ice skating rink is open seasonally. You need to inquire if the rink is available for the date you desire.

The museum offers so many different programs and activities. It truly sounds like a fun place.

The museum offers four birthday party choices. The birthday parties are appropriate for children 2 to about 6 years of age.
The “Birthday Breakfast Party” includes food, beverage and cake. This option is offered on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The cost is $850 for 15 children.
For the “Art in the A.M.” you need to supply any food, beverage and cake. This option is offered on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The cost is $625 for 15 children.
The “We Put the ART in Party” includes food, beverage and cake. This option is offered on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The cost is $700 for 15 children.
For the “Art in the Afternoon” you need to supply any food, beverage and cake. This option is offered on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The cost is $475 for 15 children.
All children will create an art project regardless of which option you choose for the birthday party.

The museum is a place where children and their families can enjoy various programs and interactive exhibits.

The birthday parties are appropriate for children 1 to 10 years of age.
Some of what is included for the birthday party are invitations, birthday cake, food and beverage along with paper goods (for the children), museum admission for you and all birthday guests for the entire day.

The “You’re So Big, You’re One” is a 60-minute party. The birthday child must be a 1 year old and guests must be under 2 years old. The cost is $650 for 10 children.
The “Big Fun for Little Ones” is a 90-minute party for children 2 to 4. The cost is $725 for 12 children.
The “Birthday Pageant” party is a 90-minute party for children 5 to 7. The cost is $750 for 12 children.
The “Step Into Ancient Greece” party is a 90-minute party for children 5 to 10. The cost is $925 for 12 children.

The restaurant offers a space-themed dining adventure. It is conveniently located in the center of Times Square.
The “Birthday Party Package” includes a choice of two platters, served family style. A birthday cake is served along with soft drinks (unlimited) served in a “Mars 2112 Souvenir Cup”. Some other items included for the birthday party are a “Martian Meet & Greet” and balloon table decorations.
The cost is $18.95 per child, children must be 12 years and under. Appetizer platters for 4 adults cost $40 per platter. Adults will also receive unlimited soft drinks.

Children’s birthday parties are available all day Monday to Thursday and after 3PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Children under 10 will enjoy a “Wee Tea” for $20 per child. Children between 10 and 15 will enjoy the “Nibble” for $20 per child. Adults must purchase the “Mad Hatter” tea service for $27 per adult.
Prices for the beautifully decorated birthday cakes start at $55. Several different extras for your child’s birthday party are available, such as a face-painter and magician. Costs vary from $100 to $200 per hour.

American Girl is appropriate for girls from 3 to 12. Some of the things she can do at American Girl include shopping, visiting the photo studio, and having something to eat at the café.
The “Deluxe Birthday Party” costs $62 per person. Some of what is included: a complete lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner in a choice of private dining rooms that accommodate from 8 to 40 people, a goody bag for every party guest and a personalized layer cake served with ice cream.
The “Cafe Birthday Party” costs $32 per person and are held in the main dining area. Some of what is included: a meal, a goody bag for every party guest, and an iced-layered cake with ice cream.

On the website, on the top of the page, click on “Birthday Parties”. This is a great place to have a birthday party if your child likes basketball. The birthday parties are appropriate for children 6 to 11 years of age.
There are two different birthday party options to choose from at the NBA store. Parties can be scheduled during store hours 7 days a week, from January 12 to November 15. Some of what is included for the birthday party: food and beverage, a basketball-themed birthday cake, and the birthday child gets a personalized team jersey.
Birthday party prices are not given online. You need to call 1-877 NBA-EVENT directly to inquire about prices. You will hear a pre-recorded message giving you some information about the birthday parties, then you will be asked to leave your name and phone number to get more information.

Bowlmor offers three different party options. All children must be 5 years old and older to bowl. There is a minimum of 8 children to have a party.
Bowlmor birthday party packages are: “The Spare” costing $34.95 per child, which does not include a personalized birthday cake, “The Strike” costing $38.95 per child, which includes a personalized birthday cake and “The 300” costing $42.95 per child, which includes a personalized birthday cake.
