Hollywood celebrities are much like everyone else, at least in some respects. A person’s net worth isn’t exactly an easy thing to talk about in mixed company for anyone. No matter how much you make or how much you save, there’s always going to be someone who makes more than you or invests with better results. Writer J.K Rowling authored seven books on Harry Potter – about cursed kid wizards, muggles, and so many other characters you can barely shake a magical broomstick at them all. Warner Brothers movies based on the books are mega hits. So, how much are the stars of Harry Potter worth?

Daniel Radcliffe
He’s not really Harry Potter of Hogwart’s, of course, but he’s played him eight times in eight big movies, so it’s a fair bet to say that no matter what else he plays in his career, he’ll be most known as the boy wizard with the poignant back story. Radcliffe has gone on to other roles, including starring in the creepy ghost story, “The Woman In Black”, and he has appeared on Broadway in the revival of, “How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Thanks to the Harry Potter franchise, Radcliffe has a fortune indeed. He’s worth an estimated and wand waving $80 million dollars. There’s a fortune even a wizard could envy.

Emma Watson
She’s the magical gal of Hogwart’s and Harry Potter’s female partner in mystical, magical crime. As Hermione Granger, Watson lent girl power to the Potter proceedings and it was more than just her feminine touch that made her a favorite character of fans. Watson has gone on to other roles, including, “My Week With Marilyn” and will be seen in the upcoming biblical epic, “Noah”. Watson’s acting wand can conjure up a spell or two on the screen and she’s worth an estimated $50 million dollars.

Rupert Grint
He’s the ginger kid with the powerful magical wand and one third of the Harry Potter trio of power and profit. Rupert Grint starred in the racy drama “Cherrybomb” in 2009 and “Wild Target” in 2008. Grint’s winning smile and trademark redhead looks may not translate into loads of other acting roles, but his dependable charm and solid acting skills ensure he’ll never want for work. As Ron Weasley, Grint supported his heroic pal Harry in the movies and his estimated net worth is a potion pouring $50 million dollars.

JK Rowling
She’s the mother of all things Potter and the genius behind the Hogwart’s school of churning out wizards and profits. Rowling was a struggling single mother who relegated the writing of the Harry Potter books on the side while she pursued a wage paying job. Once the books hit big, Rowling was paid a whopping $350 million dollars for the movie rights. She’s one of the wealthiest writers in the world and her estimated worth is a mind blowing $1 billion dollars.
