Canon EOS Rebel T2 35mm SLR Camera Review

35mm, SLR

We have all heard about the how great digital SLR cameras can actually be, however, many of us aren’t aware of the film SLR’s and the amazing photographs that can be taken from this camera. There is, and always will be, something about the way a photograph looks whenever it is shot on a really great film camera. And Canon understands this, thus they have come out with the Canon EOS Rebel T2 35mm SLR Camera with EF 28-90mm Lens, Model: Rebel T2 Kit.

This amazing camera resembles the digital Canon Rebel SLR, however, it is a fully automatic 35mm film SLR camera. This camera comes with a EF 28mm – 90mm f/4-5.6 III zoom lens. Basically what all that means is that you are going to get a lot of camera for your buck. And with this camera starting below $350, than you can believe that you’re going to have A LOT of camera. Another great feature for this camera is a 7-point high-speed wide area selectable autofocus that has advanced 35-zone metering.

Some of the other features this camera has are several image modes, which include sports, night scene, landscape, close-up, portrait and auto. These modes are absolutely perfect in giving you control over the entire way the photograph looks. And to give you even more control, there are several creative modes that can add greatly to your photograph. Some of these modes include shutter priority, aperture priority, intelligent program auto exposure and manual. These modes will help you achieve the desired look for your picture.

Another amazing feature that this camera gives its users is a multiple exposure control, which allows you to have up to nine images in one single frame. Along with the above feature, there is also an auto exposure bracketing as well as a continuous shooting mode, which shoots at approximately 3 fps (frames per second). The rapid shooting mode is great when you are needing to capture an image that is traveling a high speed, or if you are wanting to catch every moment of your friends throwing a cake in someone’s face. Every picture of the continuous shooting will turn out brilliantly clear, one of the great features about this camera.

There is no need to go out and buy a flash because there is a built-in flash that comes with an autoflash metering system that will give you extremely stable flash exposures, no more crazy lights flying around or washed out areas of your photograph. And for those of you who are wanting to make sure that your pictures will come out great, there is a safety shutter-release lock as well as a camera-shake warning, which will make sure that your photograph doesn’t have a shaky blur to it. Also, if you are wanting to expand on your lens collection this camera is compatible with Canon EF, TS-E and MP-E lenses, as well as with many other EOS system accessories. You can truly make this camera your own.

If you are in the market for a great camera, I would highly suggest looking at this one. In a world where digital takes precedent over everything, it is good to know that there is a manufacturer that is still making amazing 35mm film cameras that will take beautiful pictures, just as its digital cousin. If you are in the market for a new camera, and have thought about switching back to film, or if you are just wanting to have a film camera around the house just in case, than this is the camera for you. I highly recommend this camera, not only for its trusty manufacturer, but for the amazing features you will get as well as the extremely low price for an SLR.
