If you are invited to a Sweet 16 Birthday party, you will need to find a gift. If you are like the majority of people, in today’s economy giving a huge gift is most likely out of the question. With all the hoopla surrounding the technology these kids have today an old fashioned journal is a nice pick. These are perfect for the teen who enjoys writing or drawing. Encouraging a classic hobby or trade is always a great idea. Find a professional non wire bound journal or sketch book at pretty much any large retail store like Target, Wal-Mart, or Barnes and Noble. These are readily available for under ten dollars, as a nice touch add in a package of pens and pencils to complete the gift.
Is your teen musically inclined? If they are you are in luck, sheet music for the hottest songs of today is readily available at most music stores. Another great advantage here, is that sheet music in fairly inexpensive. You may be able to find a few songs by the guest of honors favorite band for under $20.
If you are the crafty type, and your sixteen year old is too a homemade scrap book can not be beaten. Cover the first sixteen years as best you can. Leave plenty of pages to accommodate the years to come. These are great gifts that can be found at all the box stores. This gift is real work though, so be prepared to log some hours of preparation. The payout when the birthday girl opens your gift will be second to none.
Does your guest of honor have a hard to please reputation. Give them a gift that fits their style. Do not just randomly purchase a gift card to Wal-Mart though.
