Brook’s Steak House in Denver: Restaurant Review

Humidor

Brook’s Steak House and Cellar is located at 6538 S Yosemite St. Greenwood Village, which is just a short drive down I25, south of Denver. Brook’s is considered the steak house of choice for the Denver “Elite. It has been in business for over 35 years and remains a prime spot for both excellent food and for the people you see and meet there.

Not only does Brook’s serve the absolute best “Surf and Turf” in the city, they offer an after dinner experience for cigar lovers and friends to relax and enjoy some of the best cigar humidor selections around.

For a romantic evening, party or business dinner, Brook’s provides elegance in their service and the atmosphere. Dark woods, crisp white tablecloths and napkins, crystal and silver service and beautiful decor throughout the building. The service at this fabulous classic is second to none. The wait staff and the entire package of service was impressive. They provided us with instant seating and drinks as well as returning promptly for our order.

Before you go to Brook’s, know that you will need to be ready for sticker shock. If your goal is to splurge, expect about $250 for 4 people. If you are one of the regulars at Brook’s then you already know. There are no inexpensive dishes at this place.

I ordered the Colossal Brook’s Surf and Turf-Jumbo Lobster Tail and a huge Filet Mignon. Sides were vegetables and a potato. I also ordered the French Onion Soup and a Brook’s Salad. They are best known for the 22-oz Prime Bone-In Ribeye. This is a monster steak. Be ready to dig deep for this one though. The house desert was absolutely the best. Wonderful pound cake with ice cream and chocolate topping was heavenly.

Brook’s also has a wine selection with well over 1200 excellent choices. They continue their reputation of great service with their dedication to providing their clientele with the absolute best in dining in the Denver metro area.

Brook’s Steak House and Cellar are open daily 5pm-10pm. It is an absolute must to make an advanced reservation. This is a hot spot for high rollers and with the limited hours, space gets taken quickly. Call: 303-770-1177. They have Valet parking. They accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club. Again the whole menu is $$$$ . Not a restaurant you want to take the kids unless they are older or extremely well behaved. More of a social adult restaurant.

A visit to the Cellar Lounge is a great place for those cigar lovers or people who don’t mind the smoke. Like a huge den, this place is the “Go To” Spot for the Rich and Famous of Denver. Several big name sports figures and other well known folks have been spotted in Brook’s.

My visit to this extremely fancy restaurant was very pampering. The food was great, excellent service and an experience like no other I have had. If you have a taste for the “finer” dining atmosphere, then Brook’s Steak House and Cellar in Greenwood Village, Co is the place you want to go.

They offer elegant banquet service for most any size group. Fabulous place for wedding dinners, business and other types of events.
