Breyer’s Natural Vanilla Ice Cream Review

Frozen Desserts, Nutrition Facts

I planned on getting some ice cream for our guests at my son’s birthday party. I mostly eat non-dairy frozen desserts and so does my son, but we wanted to offer something that was more mainstream. We picked out a few different flavors of ice cream, the first one I picked out in a hurry without even glancing at the ingredients. After I got home I was disappointed with the ice cream and went back to get the two others. This time while peering into the freezer doors that contained all of the ice cream brands and flavors I carefully selected based on the appeal of the flavor and the ingredients. One of the ice creams that I selected was Breyer’s Natural Vanilla Ice Cream, here is what I thought of it and how it was received at the party.

The ingredients that this ice cream that made me select it were milk, cream, sugar, natural flavor and natural tara gum. I figure that something classic as vanilla would be well liked among the people at the party. After I got home I studied the nutrition facts of the Breyer’s Natural Vanilla Ice Cream. In a half of a cup of this ice cream there is one hundred and thirty caloires with sixty calories from fat. There is twenty milligrams of cholesterol and thirty five milligrams of sodium as well as fourteen grams of both sugars and carbohydrates and three grams of protein in every half of a cup as well. In the minerals and vitamins section of the nutrition facts it listed four percent for vitamin A and twice that for calcium. Now I was not expecting the nutrition facts to be excellent, we are talking about a dessert after all, but I didn’t think that they were too bad nutrition facts for being ice cream and all.

When it came time to choose what ice cream everyone would like I had two choices for everyone. One of them being a strawberry ice cream and the Breyer’s Natural Vanilla Ice Cream. Although the majority of the people chose to have the other option I for one, as well as others, chose to have this ice cream with their cake. I am a fan of vanilla ice cream and even though I love strawberries I chose the underdog ice cream to make more of the popular choice available. I was not disappointed though. The vanilla ice cream tasted really, really good and the other people who had it agreed with me that it was a good ice cream. I was glad that I found it and I was glad that I could get it.

When I went into the grocery store in search of some good quality ice cream I didn’t want to spend more than three dollars per container. When I found the Breyer’s Natural Vanilla Ice Cream it was on sale for two pennies shy of three dollars, lucky for me. The container was a quart and a half and container had about six cups of ice cream. Seeing how a serving size is half of a cup I knew that there would plenty and I couldn’t complain about the fifty cent price of each cup of ice cream in the container. I would recommend for anyone to give this ice cream a try as I thought that it was really, really good. I don’t get ice cream too often, not unless I have a lot of ice cream eating people in my home, like for a birthday party, as both me and my son eat mostly rice milk based frozen desserts. For this reason I won’t likely get this ice cream again for just me but I might get it again if I have another party that calls for ice cream.
