Best San Francisco Strip Joints

Condor, Liberal Politics, San Francisco California

San Francisco, California is known for so many memorable things. Alcatraz, cable cars, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge, Nob Hill, and earthquakes are just a few of San Francisco’s trademarks.

Liberal politics, particularly on social issues, is something else San Francisco is famous for. And this let and let live attitude is one of the reasons that San Francisco has a tremendous number and wide variety of strip joints.

Here is a list and reviews of some of the best strip joints that San Francisco has to offer.

Mitchell Brothers O’Farrell Theater
895 O’Farrell Street
San Francisco, California

Mitchell Brothers O’Farrell Theater is probably the most famous strip joint in San Francisco. As other strip joints come and go and as San Francisco authorities go from being strict to allowing an ‘anything goes’ mentality, this San Francisco strip joint endures.

For O’Farrell Theater, opinions vary widely. Some will tell you that this place is a sure way to spend a lot of money in a very short amount of time and for very little pleasure. Others, most others, will say that this is a must see in San Francisco.

There is no pretense here: people visit this strip joint for hot and aggressive women. You will never have to wait for a lap dance and can pick from a number of themed areas. But the ‘themes’ merely provide a backdrop, they do not distract from the main purpose here, which is to provide professional lap dances that are far from half hearted. One of the rooms is essentially a movie theater which plays adult films, which can be viewed alone or with a dancer of your choice…arguably the most famous area of any San Francisco strip joint. Another area in this strip joint has what can best be described as ‘voting booths’, with curtains and provide for some ‘alone time’, with the dancer of your choice.

The main stage is probably the least memorable thing about O’Farrel Theater. It is standard strip joint fare, though with O’Farrel Theater’s typical level of hotness in the hired help.

This is not a strip joint that has followed the lead of others in San Francsico and tries to present itself as anything other than a strip joint; no steaks, no seafood and no fine wine. In fact, there is no alcohol served at this strip joint.

So go and enjoy. If for nothing else, it is something you have always wanted to do in this life!

Condor
300 Columbus Avenue
San Francisco, California

In all fairness, it is a bit of a stretch to put Condor on a list of best strip joints in San Francisco. Not because it’s not a great place, it is. And not because you won’t see any naked breasts; you will. But Condor is not truly a strip joint. And yet, it is the oldest topless joint in San Francisco. I know this seems to be a contradiction in terms, but it makes sense. Condor is as much a San Francisco sports bar as it is a San Francisco strip joint. Think of a sports bar, with beers, televisions and a mixed crowd where the waitresses and much of the ‘help’ are topless. That’s the Condor. It’s a great place to go to watch the game, but also enjoy the view and attention from hot topless women. This is one of the best strip joints in San Francisco. But it’s also the best place to go if you’re not completely into the whole ‘strip joint thing’, but would like to see sexy women, with no tops on, while you sip your beer and watch the game.

Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club
1031 Kearny Street
San Francisco, California

Say what you will for Larry Flynt and the Hustler franchise, but whether you are in San Francisco or New York or any other city where his strip joint is, you know exactly what you are getting when you go in. It’s expensive and lacks the local charm of other San Francisco strip joints, but the women are invariably hot, the place is clean and the service is solid. Bring your wallet, but also your sense for a great night out with Hustler quality women and great lap dances.

Gold Club
650 Howard Street
San Francisco, California

The Gold Club is a San Francisco strip joint that just is what it is. It’s not really upscale, but not really downscale either. The women are not unattainably hot, but they are all really good looking. It’s a great place for a mid ranged strip joint if visiting San Francisco. The night I was there, there were plenty of women for each customer, and the selection was fantastic for whatever your preference. And most importantly, they were fun and I didn’t feel the ‘hustle’ that is so common in strip joints not just in San Francisco, but in strip joints anywhere.

Hungry I Club
546 Broadway
San Francisco, California

The Hungry I is an authentic San Francisco strip joint. It is not part of a nationwide chain. It is fun; the wait staff is actually friendly and the girls make you laugh in addition to providing excitement through their looks and dances. There is no food here. Relative to other strip joints in San Francisco, the Hungry I is relatively inexpensive. Dollar for dollar, this is a great value and is also near a number of other strip joints in North Beach, which is the Mecca for San Francisco strip joints.
