Best Malls in Los Angeles, California

Kids Events, The Grove

If you love shopping, then Los Angeles is the place to be. Los Angeles is home to many malls that feature fun shopping, great dining and even entertainment. The following three Los Angeles malls were chosen for attributes such as their spectacular apparel collection, activities, kid friendly nature and close proximity to other attractions. Here are three of the best malls in Los Angeles, California.

The Grove

The Grove is a beautiful mall with a “dancing” fountain, lovely foliage and a trolley that runs through the middle of the establishment. Anthropologie, Crate & Barrel, Fresh and Michael Stars are just some of the fantastic stores that line this open-air mall. There are upscale restaurants and several casual eateries. For adults, there is a weekly Nike Run on Wednesdays. There are several ongoing kids events at The Grove. For example, try story time every Tuesday at 11am at Pottery Barn Kids. Another fun activity is kids club in the park that includes entertainment like music. Finally, there are Monday morning mommy movies at Pacific Theatres. The Grove is right next to the original Farmer’s Market with tons of delicious food, festivities and stores. Oh, and there’s a good chance you might see some celebrities here. The Grove is located at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90036.

Glendale Galleria

This is huge mall with over 200 stores and eateries. There’s really every store imaginable. The major stores are Macys, JCPennys, Nordstrom and Target. In addition, there is an Apple store, The Sleep Number Store and a Just Paws Pets store. This mall is quite kid friendly too. In addition to BabyGap, Stride Rite, Gymboree and The Children’s Place retail stores, there is a Build a Bear Workshop and a Disney Store. There’s a children play area too. If you have a sweet tooth, find plenty of treats at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, See’s Candies and Sweet Factory. Glendale Galleria is located at 100 West Broadway, Suite 700

Santa Monica Place

This mall is located at the edge of Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. From Coach to Charlotte Russe, there’s a store for every budget. The two major department stores are Bloomingdales and Nordstrom. Also, this mall has tons of dining options. Along with a quaint wine garden, there’s pizza, Mexican, Chinese and Italian food. On Fridays go to SunSets from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for a “live DJ, cocktails, restaurant specials and more.” At the Nordstrom Deck, there is also Zumba and yoga on certain days. Interestingly enough, once one is done shopping or dining at the mall, they can walk out onto Third Street and do more shopping and dining. There are street performers, fountains and all sorts of interesting things to see. Even better, this mall is just a few blocks from the Santa Monica Pier. Come to 395 Santa Monica Place Santa Monica, CA 90401 to see it for yourself.

Some other honorable mentions are The Hollywood and Highland mall, Paseo Colorado in Pasadena and Westfield Century City.
