Best Brunch Hot Spots in San Antonio, Texas

Homemade Butter

There is something about fantastic and delicious food at the start of the day that makes the day so much better. The quality and deliciousness of the food is even more important when you spend your hard-earned money dining-out at a restaurant. Breakfast is one of those things that anyone can make. Fry or scramble some eggs, cook some bacon, and push the toast into the toaster. Easy enough, right? So, when you dine-out for a cuisine as easy to make as breakfast foods, you want something more than simply bacon and eggs. You want something that takes your traditional breakfast and brunch favorites, and elevates them. To help you find the perfect spot for your next brunch, I have listed below several fantastic brunch options that you need to consider when selecting your next location for brunch in San Antonio, Texas!

1. The Grill @ Leon Springs

The Facts: One of the most impressive things about The Grill at Leon Springs is that every Sunday morning they prepare delectable, fresh Brunch cuisine all for a moderate price. Each week, the brunch’s menu is changed a bit offering you a wide variety of different flavors from week to week. This is also not your typical brunch either with basic eggs, basic French toast, bacon, and other expected dishes. This is the Brunch of brunches offering eclectic, new takes on dishes. I love that each week I have gone, there has been a different spin on Eggs Benedict. One week it had smoked brisket on it, the next week it had breakfast sausage, and the next week it was traditional. They also offer different southern inspired recipes each week ranging from salmon, to pork, to chicken, to lasagna.

2. Guenther House Restaurant

The Facts: The Guenther House Restaurant is a place that offers much more than just great brunch food. If you want something that goes above and beyond the typical ‘nice restaurant’ for a moderate price, then you must come here. Honestly, besides absolutely delectable food, you get a truly unique historic atmosphere that offers you a different dining experience. In my opinion, the main draw to this restaurant is its unique-ness, because of the beautiful grounds, the unique architecture, and the history associated with this location, it is surely a brunch that you would remember from years to come. Unlike some restaurant atmospheres that seem to blend together over time, this will truly stand-out in your memory–if not for the food, for the atmosphere.

3. Magnolia Pancake Haus

The Facts: This place absolutely lives-up to its hype. In fact, I have never talked to anyone who has had anything but great things to say about this establishment. Of course there is a catch though. The catch is, you may have a very long line to wait in to eat. The masses do not lie though, and those who do take the time to wait in what seems to be a waiting line of amusement-park-proportions, will be pleasantly surprised by the absolutely delicious, homemade food. Some of the most notable things about this establishment is its homemade butter and syrup. If they can make it homemade, they always do–all for a moderate price that won’t hurt the wallet. Although, after you’re done eating all of the amazing food, it might hurt your stomach a bit from being so full!
