Best Brazilian Restaurants in Minneapolis: Fogo De Chao Review

Brazilian Restaurants, Brazilian Steakhouse

If you have never tried Brazilian food, you should! OK, I’m suspicious to say that because..well I’m originally from Brazil. This beautiful South American country famous for its passion for soccer and the majestic “Carnaval“, one of the largest parades in the world, also offers a delicious culinary that can satisfy all types of tastes.

When I heard that there was a Brazilian restaurant located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, I did not think twice and I visited Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse to check it out for myself. I was really impressed, Fogo De Chao is an authentic Brazilian steakhouse (or Churrascaria).

Most of the waiters are Brazilians, very friendly and courteous by the way. They will make you feel at home. Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse specialty is the large variety of steaks and you will be able to try 15 different cuts of meet. If steak is not your thing don’t worry, you can enjoy a large buffet variety with salads and fresh vegetable cuts. There is also a long list of authentic Brazilian side dishes and delicious deserts.

The beverage’s list includes a vast wine selection from countries like Argentina, Spain, Italy, Chile, Australia and Portugal. Trained staff will be able to aid you on selecting the right wine to compliment your dinning experience. The list of beverages also includes beer, juices, cocktails, sodas and champagnes.

So here are some suggestions, make sure you try the authentic Brazilian rice and beans, add some delicious slices of filet mignon and hummm….you can’t go wrong. Their garlic top sirloin is also out of this world…so are the pork chops.

In Brazil there is a very popular beverage called “caipirinha”, it is a cocktail of sugar cane spirits and lime. I have to tell you, it is pretty strong stuff but it goes well with barbecue….but don’t go over board, because it will knock you out….I’m just kidding. But definitely give it try.

You can enjoy “all you can eat” at Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse for around $20.00 per person. I know, you may think its pricey but for all you get this is worth every dollar. Make sure you have a large appetite, because the food keeps coming. You are given a two sided disk. One side is green and it lets the waiters know that they are welcome to stop at your table and offer you different cuts of stake. If you need a breather, just flip the disk and the red side it will make waiters skip your table and let you enjoy your meal. When you are ready to try more, just flip the disk back to green and they stop by every time.
