Best Brands of Baby Clothing

Baby Clothing, Consignment Sale, Gymboree, Rompers

If you are expecting a little bundle of joy sometime in the near future, as soon as the big ultrasound date arrives and you find out the gender of your baby, you will immediately want to start buying cute little outfits for him/her to wear. There are a multitude of baby stores and baby clothing companies out there; but as a new parent you will want to be sure you buy items that are durable, comfortable, and adorable.

Before I list the brands of baby clothing that I prefer the most, let me start by saying that you do not have to spend a fortune on these articles of clothing. Most of my sons’ clothing is purchased on clearance, at yard sales, and on Ebay. These are just specific brands that you can look for that I have found to be the best.

Hanna Andersson clothing is wonderfully soft, and many of the pieces are made of organic cotton. There aren’t a lot of Hanna retail stores, so you usually have to order their clothing online, unless you are lucky enough to find Hanna items at a consignment shop or garage sale. Hanna Andersson clothes can last through a lot of washings. Especially nice are the baby “wiggle pants”, and the colorful sweaters. Hanna clothing tends to be very expensive when new, unless you buy the items at the end of the season. Twice a year they have online sales (January and June) when you can get items at significant price reductions.

Gymboree clothing is fun because of the mix and match sets. Gymboree specializes in baby sets that include many pieces: rompers, pants, sweaters, dresses, bibs, socks, tights, and toys that match the clothing. It is a lot of fun to collect all the pieces in a particular “line” of clothing. Gymboree has some good online and in-store sales. Unlike Hanna, there are a lot of Gymboree stores, so there is most likely one at a mall somewhere near you. I have gotten brand new shirts and shorts/pants off-season for my boys for $2-4 a piece.

Baby Gap clothing is durable (the jeans last forever), and has that classic look. If you like your boy to look like a “little man”, you will be able to find a lot of items at Baby Gap. The girl’s clothing is adorable as well. Every winter they put out “warmest” down-filled jackets that are reduced to $19.99 or less in the stores at the end of the season. Baby Gap also has cute novelty type t-shirts and onesies for different occasions like Christmas or Valentine’s Day.

These are three of my favorite brands of baby clothing. All three brands can be ordered online and conveniently shipped to your home. Like I stated previously, the best way to get these brands is to look for them on sale or at a yard sale. I prefer buying quality clothing for my children because it lasts longer-and if you are a savvy shopper you can get Gymboree clothing for Walmart prices.
