Santa Clara University Baseball Camps. It can be an unexpected two for one experience when you sign your son up to attend one of the Santa Clara University Baseball Camps. First your child has the chance to spend some time on a college campus which may be just the kind of impetus he needs to get those grades up when school starts up again. Second of course is the baseball camp experience itself.

Attending Santa Clara University Baseball Camp means that a child has the great fortune of getting to practice and play at one of the premier college baseball facilities on the West Coast. This is not a camp at the school yard, this is camp at an 8.6 million dollar facility. It ‘s a place where the skills involved in baseball are shared through the extensive use of lots of state of the art equipment. Pitching machines, batting cages, video equipment are part of the package when a child comes to Santa Clara University Baseball Camp because all camps are held at the Stephen Schott Stadium on Santa Clara University campus.

Camps are run according to ages. Kids Camp is run for children ages 6-12. Sessions run from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. During the day young people receive instruction on techniques of hitting, defense, outfield and infield strategies. There is plenty of time for games, work outs in the batting cage and catching up on instructional baseball video. There are four weekly sessions from mid June through mid July and the cost of each session is $250 with an additional fee for those who wish to purchase lunch each day. What began as a single camp operation has successfully mushroomed so that now young people can select a Rob Andrews Baseball Camp from 14 camps that are run in 6 Bay Area cities each year.
