Basketball Themed Party Favors for Kids

Basketball Tips, Keeping Kids Safe, Phoenix International Raceway, Sippy

Are you planning a basketball themed party for your son or daughter? If so, you may want to take a quick look at my list of basketball themed party favors for kids. Here they are:

Basketball Candy

Based on my previous experience as a special events planner, basketball candy would make a terrific party favor. There is a wide array of basketball candy to choose from. One option is to purchase candy that has a basketball game attached to the top of a candy dispenser. There are companies that sell such candy under the name, “Shooting Hoops Bubble Gum Filled Basketball Game.” The top of the candy dispenser has a miniature basketball hoop and a basketball enclosed inside a plastic dome. The dome is outfitted with a little plastic lever that the kids can use in order to get the basketball into the hoop. The bottom of the candy dispenser is filled with bubble gum balls. In most instances, a case of the hoops candy will cost you $19. Other basketball themed candy options include round chocolates wrapped in tin foil ($8 per 3 pounds) and basketball bubblegum balls. Each one is available through candy wholesalers and major party supply shops.

Basketball Sippy Cup or Water Bottle

Basketball water bottles and sippy cups also make wonderful party favors. Both are often available through carnival supply shops, costume shops and party supply shops for less than $3 each. Personally, I’d suggest giving the basketball sippy cups to children 6 years of age or less. The older children will most likely prefer the water bottles.

Depending on your budget, you may want to fill a basketball party bag with basketball themed toys and games. Items that you may want to include in the loot bag are basketball hand held mazes, foam basketballs, basketball poppers, basketball yo-yos and rubber basketballs. The items are generally available through party and carnival supply shops for less than $5 a case.

Basketball Stationary Supplies

Basketball stationary supplies also make terrific party favors. Most basketball stationary items that I know of sell for less than $7 a case. Examples of items that you may want to include in the loot bags are basketball notepads, basketball hoop pens, basketball stickers and basketball pencils.

Basketball Noise Makers

If you don’t mind noise, you may want to give each child an air blast horn, a basketball whistle, a basketball pep cone and a basketball clapper. The items are available through select party supply shops and typically sell for less than $10 a case.
