Barilla Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce

Pasta Sauce, Pasta Sauces

Since early 2006, I have written almost 1,000 articles, many of which are product reviews for associatedcontent.com. Among those product reviews are several that examine various brands and types of prepared pasta sauces. Up until a couple of days ago, I thought that perhaps I had already sampled most of the top jarred and/or prepared pasta sauces available in American supermarkets. That changed two nights ago, when I tried a variety of Barilla Pasta Sauce that my wonderful father brought over for me to enjoy.

The type of Barilla Pasta Sauce, which I had never seen before, is Barilla Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce. Previously, I had eaten other Barilla pasta sauces and was quite pleased with them. What I am about to state now, I have never said about any other brand or type of pasta sauce. I honestly think that the Barilla Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce is the quite possibly the very best – tasting jarred, or prepared pasta sauce that I have ever eaten. When I opened the jar of this pasta sauce, I certainly did not think that I would be making such a declaration, but this sauce blew me away as soon as I tasted it. Never before, had I tasted a jarred pasta sauce that offered such a classic and robust, yet light and interesting flavor as the Barilla Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce. I think that this sauce tastes very much like a top – rate pasta sauce that was prepared in an Italian restaurant. I am so impressed with the flavor, consistency and overall quality of this item, that I decided to write a product review of it. Presented her, in an effort to assist the consumer, is one food writer’s product review of Barilla brand Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce.

Taste / Flavor
When it comes to flavor, the Barilla Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce is a real winner. The flavor is fresh and somewhat light, yet it is also sweet and enhanced by the addition of imported olive oil and tiny pieces of basil. This sauce tastes so good, that I ate quite a few spoonfuls straight from the jar before heating it to be served with pasta.
