Baltimore Maryland’s Top Bluecrab Restaurants

Chicken Pasta, Crabs

In the city of Baltimore, there are plenty of restaurants that offer some of the best crabs in town. Since the state of Maryland in know for their blue crabs, it’s only fitting that one of the state’s historic cities offer some of the best blue crabs around. Check out my top choice Crab Spots in Baltimore.

I’ve been to Bo Brooks several times and really enjoyed the experience each time. This restaurant offers more than spectacular crab feasts, the overall menu is very good. Most people only go to Bo Brooks for the crabs, but soon find out that entrées like the Blackened Chicken Pasta and the Crab Quesadilla are quite good. The average price range of the crab banquets and regular menu items are a reason that I give this spot the thumbs up.

The L.P. Steamer Crab House is the epitome of good eating in the city of Baltimore. This spot, located on East Fort Avenue, reminds me of one of those “blue collar” joints where the average patron comes to enjoy some good seafood and a cold beer after work. L.P. Steamers is usually a crowded spot because of the crabs and delicious fried seafood. This place even ships pre-steamed crabs anywhere in the US. I don’t now how that would actually work out, but it’s definitely a different concept.

Gaffney’s Back Fin Crab House has been a consistent spot for good crabs in Baltimore for quite some time. Everyone who has visited this spot are always satisfied with the quality of service and the delicious crabs. Gaffney’s is open from March to November and closes at 9pm. The prices are very reasonable and the Crabs are very good, seasoned the way you like it. Gaffney’s is not a “classic sit down and eat” crab spot, carry-out only.

The Captain James Landing is a weird boat house that sits on land near the famous Baltimore Harbor. Nevertheless, this is a great restaurant that serves great food as well as some of the best crabs in the city. Crab feasts are “All-You-Can_Eat” for a two hour limit. Don’t worry about clearing your pockets for a crab showdown. The prices are very affordable based on the good quality of Crabs.
