Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue for Crafts

Hair Clips, Joann Fabrics, Scrapbooking Paper, Tacky

Our home has a room dedicated just to crafts. I make many different items which I sell at craft bazaars and fairs, and having a good craft glue is essential. For years I have used Aleene’s Tacky Glue, and when I ran out I decided to give their three pack Tacky Glue a try. The package had three different styles of Aleene’s Tacky Glue, but the one that I like the best is their Quick Dry Tacky Glue.

Now that I have tried the sample size I am ready to purchase a full sized bottle of Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue. This stuff is amazing! Unlike some glues that give off fumes so strong they give me a headache, this glue is virtually odorless.

The bottle states that it is their “Quickest drying fastest tacking” glue. It is an all purpose, multi support glue that works on a wide variety of materials. It comes in an eight ounce bottle that retails for around eight dollars, which is a good buy since this size bottle lasts a long time. It just takes a dab to connect to surfaces!

My bottle of Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue was purchased at Joann Fabrics. Their website has this to say about the product: Quick Dry Tacky performs just like your favorite Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue only faster. Using new technology, Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky dries and tacks up more than 50% faster than other craft glues. Laboratory testing shows Quick Dry Tacky dries in 35 minutes compared to 2 hours or more for traditional white craft glues. No other white craft glue dries faster or tacks quicker.

I am making bows that are glued onto hair clips with my demographic being young mothers with daughters over the age of two. Hair clips are all the rage in stores and boutiques, and with the help of Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue I am able to glue ribbon onto my alligator clips and it is dry in a matter of minutes. No more waiting around for the glue to dry!

The glue is easy to spread into an even film, leaving no bumps under my ribbon. I can’t do that with my hot glue gun! Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue can be used for scrapbooking, paper crafts, and a wide variety of projects that require white glue. It’s perfect for the classroom because of its tacky properties. It will hold two surfaces together upon contact and it will quickly.

Aleene’s makes a nice assortment of tacky glue, but their Aleene’s Quick Dry Tacky Glue is my absolute favorite and I highly recommend it to all crafters.
