Adam and Eve — a Poem

Adam and Eve,
They lived in the Garden,
Followed God’s laws,
And became very ardent.

God warned them, not to eat…..
From the old Tree of Life,
She did not listen,
And as Adam’s wife.

She ate of the apple,
So juicy and sweet,
And thought all the while,
Oh, what a treat.

She tried to get Adam
to then take a bite.
He stayed strong,
with all of his might.

You see, the serpent,
was tricky, we’re told,
For Eve, she believed,
And for that she was scold.

God made them leave,
the garden that day,
Losing favor in sight,
Of God’s loving ways.

And as the old story,
comes to the end,
The serpent laid still
and flashed a big grin.
