In this week’s episode of “NCIS – Enemy on the Hill,” Abby finds she has a long lost brother. She didn’t know her parents had another child.
She found out when she went to a meeting with a donor organ coordinator. She was giving a kidney to a person. One thing Abby and Pauley, the actor who plays this character, both are into charities and causes for the greater good.
She called her Aunt Gertrude for more information on her parents. With her aunt’s failing health, she couldn’t get any further information.
When the coordinator oversteps just a bit with the information of her brother, played by an ex boyfriend of Paurette. Kyle Davis, her new found brother, runs a pet rescue and adoption store. This is another cause Pauley is passionate about in her real life. She has often posted pictures of pets who need or she has rescued.
While McGee took over finding the information she needed in finding her brother, he wasn’t sure what to do with the name and address he found. Gibbs, being the guy he is with his team, took over.
Gibbs gave Abby the information McGee found instead of a Kaf-Pow. He offered to go with her when she went to meet him. Abby declined Gibbs’ offer and went on her own.
Kyle eyed Abby because she looked so familiar. When he asked if they had met before, she told him they hadn’t ever met. He persuaded her to go inside to meet a pit bull he had rescued because it had the same dog collar she was wearing when they met outside of his shop.
That night Abby went to visit Gibbs because she was confused about what she found out. Not only did she find she had a brother named Kyle, she found out that the mother who she thought was her mother wasn’t. She opened the locket she had looked at several times during episode and showed it to Gibbs.
She explained the woman and the hair in the locket was her mother. The locket, picture and hair is Pauley’s in real life. The picture is of her mother who passed away in 2002.
Abby told Gibbs she ran a strand of hair from the locket only to find the woman wasn’t her mother. As they talked further, she told Gibbs she didn’t want to turn Kyle and Luca’s life upside down before she found out why she was adopted.
Additional facts about Abby:
The parents who raised her were deaf.
She grew up with a brother named Luca.
She talked to her Aunt Gert on this episode of “NCIS.” Her Aunt Gertrude is losing her memory and didn’t recognize Abby’s voice.
