Knowing that you are not alone with having to deal with a shy bladder at work, or anywhere will help you in the long run. Studies have shown that men, woman, older or younger have to deal with this same issue.

Many believe that a shy bladder; known as an anxiety disorder. As long as there may not be any medical reasons, it can be an intense social anxiety, that will you make you feel embarrassed. Then remembering those moments, you will put yourself into another anxiety attack before it begins. As stated if this is not a medical issue, then you will want to start working on the social anxiety.

The anxiety that can cause this is from the urinary sphincter to tighten up the muscle, thus causing you not to be able to use the restroom. Even knowing you would pass a drug test, if so needed for work, and they are watching, or in the restroom with you, it is not uncommon for the bladder to stop. It can feel annoying, and you may even feel the urge to use the bathroom, but cannot go.

There are several mental ideas that one has with the bladder shyness when they enter a public restroom. Some can even become distorted thoughts add that with the sense of emergency that you may feel that people can hear you and know what you are doing in the restroom, even though you know that others are doing the same, it is different for you as you are in the urgency of thoughts you have.

You may also take a longer time than others may in the restroom causing possible thoughts of others becoming angry with you. Other thoughts that most people with the shy bladder, think that others are listening to and or watching you use the restroom. People are judging you because you urinate, homosexuality can be a fear, rather you feel you teased, other common distorted thought can be that others are making fun of you, and you cannot hear them.

It is important to know that each person on the earth uses the restroom, and do so many times a day. For public urinals, males have a difficult time with this disorder, because publicly they have to urinate in front of and next to other men using other urinals, or men standing behind you while in line.

As mentioned before drug testing is a big requirement for hiring. Failure to be able to give the urine sample while supervised can result in failure to qualify for the job you wanted. This is a problem for both genders. The importance is to know that a court said it allows ones with this condition also called Paruresis, that if you have a note from a doctor to give urine samples at a private office.

If you have this condition or know someone who does, you need to seek medical attention. First, you need to make sure it is Paruresis, also known as shy bladder. This will make sure that you do not have a medical condition that would be causing you problems with urinating.

Both genders suffer from this disorder, and yet it is not for sure what the cause is. Some believe that there may have been some situation caused in childhood that humiliated them or others believe that it is another branch from General Anxiety Disorder. If you are having this problem, know that you are not alone. Once you have seen a medical doctor to make sure, it is not health related.
