This resort is truly amazing! The rooms are all so beautiful. The fireplace room is a 300 square foot room with a great wooded view. It has a private deck that overlooks the lake. You have a king-sized bed, a charming fireplace, a huge 2 person whirlpool, and a cute little eating area.
Their deluxe rooms measure at 400 square feet and give you a gorgeous view of the lake. This room also has a private deck, king sized bed, fireplace, and a huge 2 person whirlpool. The rooms are located next to the library, so if you feel like relaxing and reading a book, you can go pick one out.
The Heavenly Suite rooms are by far my favorite. My husband and I spent our honeymoon in one of these rooms. This is a large 2 room suite that measures 600 square feet. The living room has a stunning stone fireplace where you can cuddle up in front of. On your private deck you have a front row view of the lake. So you can sit out there and watch the fish jump or just listen to nature! In the bedroom there is another fireplace and a luxurious king sized bed and the lighting can be dimmed for a romantic setting. Right in front of your bed is a giant window that overlooks the lake. So the first thing you see in the morning is the beautiful sunrise over the lake. You can also relax in your 2 person whirlpool and enjoy a drink from your very own full wet bar! The atmosphere and views that you see from this room is truly a breathtaking experience!
They also offer some 2 person private cottages that have everything like a wet bar, microwave, coffeemaker, glassware, whirlpool, private deck and a small refrigerator. The choices depend on what kind of view and theme you would like. Prices for the cottages can range from $425-$875 a night.
The highlight of each day is the dining experience in the lakeside dining room. Their dress code is Causal Elegance. The chef prepares a prix fixe menu chosen by the chef. The dinner is $75 per person and is well worth it. You receive any where from a 4-6 course meal, and it is delicious. For our meal we had pan-roasted Alaskan salmon with an orange Rosemary beurre blanc sauce, a salad with hazelnut vinaigrette dressing, a caramelized carrot and pear soup, and an awesome crème brulee for dessert. The presentation of the food and the dining atmosphere is amazing! It will be a dining experience that you won’t forget. If you have any diet restrictions, you need to notify the resort in advance so they can make arrangements for you.
With dinner, you can choose a glass of wine to enjoy with your meal. The hard part is picking one. They have over 500 domestic and imported vintages that compliment the chef’s amazing nightly creations. They also have champagne and beer choices also. You can get any of these items delivered to your room also. So you can enjoy a glass of wine while sitting on your private deck!
The resort is secluded on three private lakes and surrounded by beautiful forests. For recreational activities you can canoe, kayak or row boat on the crystal clear Lake Wahdoon. Or you can relax on the shore or canoe and fish for large mouth bass. The best part is the lake does not permit motorized boats or jet skis, so you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature while on the lake. If you feel like staying inside you can get an hour long relaxing massage at the hotel’s spa or just relax and have a drink in your room’s private whirlpool.
This is truly an amazing place. The prices for rooms range from $325-$525 a night. It is well worth it though. You are secluded in a beautiful wooded area with great views from your room, service is top notch, and the food is wonderful! You are treated like a star here.
