A Review of the Dora the Explorer Activity Folding Chairs and Table Set

Dora the Explorer

Are you looking for that perfect addition to your child’s Dora the Explorer themed room? A table and chairs just may be the perfect touch! I would recommend the Dora the Explorer Folding Activity Table and Chairs set. It resembles what I would call a “card table.” I have spotted two different versions of this Dora the Explorer set and also additional chair sets available.

The table and chairs come in a box that looks like all the items couldn’t possibly fit inside. The box was so thin because you have to put the chairs together. It was very simple and came with a special little tool to complete the task. The one that we purchased has the image of Dora and Boots giving each other a high five on the jungle background often depicted in the episodes. The chair back features Dora and Boots again on a purple floral background. The seat colors are also a purple color. The metal frames of the chairs and table are colored a bright, vivid pink.

My favorite feature of the Dora the Explorer Activity Table and Chairs set is that each piece is covered in a durable vinyl. This material allows for very quick and easy cleanups. The colors are beautiful and vivid, just like the animated series. Another perk is the folding feature. You can pack it up and take it with you to holiday gatherings or special family occasions. It makes a perfect “kids” table! A safety feature is a special locking mechanism in the chairs that can be removed. This prevents the chair from folding when the child is getting on or off the seat.

The other version that I have spotted is a little less girlie. It has a similar picture of Dora and Boots but they are holding hands. The seat back images feature Dora and Boots on a landscape background instead of the floral one. Instead of pink frames, the items in this set are green. This version of the table also features the phrase, “Vamanos! Let’s Go!”

The table in this set measures 24″ square and 20″ tall. The manufacturer recommends these items for children 3-7 but my daughter has been using them since she was 2. I think it really depends on your child’s height and their experience getting on and off chairs. So use your best parenting judgment! Expect to pay around $25 to $30 for a Dora the Explorer Activity Table Set. Additional chairs in sets of two are also available at around $20. I would recommend this set for your little explorer. It is perfect for mealtimes, snack times, arts and crafts, and pretend play. It will look so cute in your child’s room and is practical for you too!
